Hi! I'm not sure what's going on but I ovulated 2 days ago which I know for definite but I've got cramps which I find strange, it's too early to be pregnancy or period but too late to be ovulation surely since it's already happened, the only way I can describe the pain is that it feels like both my ovaries are bruised and my period is about to come, has anyone else had this or know what it could be?

Probably just due to ovulation :)

SarahShorty · 22/07/2022 22:47

You can feel ovulation pain either before or after ovulation occurs. When the egg is released, the mature follicle ruptures sending follicular fluid and a bit of blood out with it and it can irritate abdominal linings. Some months you won't feel any pain at all but will have still ovulated.

Georgia2609 · 22/07/2022 22:49

@SarahShorty I feel ovulation every month but it's just never this painful, it hurts when I cough and just feels like my ovaries are swollen

@Georgia2609 how are you feeling? When the follicle ruptures it's bound to hurt quite substantially. The ovaries swell beforehand. If the pain gets to the point where you're in abject agony, see a doctor.

Georgia2609 · 27/07/2022 16:54

@SarahShorty the pain carried on until 4dpo and then completely stopped and today at 8dpo I've got a faint positive

@Georgia2609 I'm actually lost for words 😂Can you get an FRER to triple check? They are the go-to brand around here.

Georgia2609 · 27/07/2022 17:43

@SarahShorty where abouts are you? I'm in the UK and I've never really heard much about them, I've always used clear blue, I'll be taking another tomorrow morning to be sure though! If I hadn't tracked ovulation I'd think I ovulated early, I never expected a positive at 8DPO! 😂

I'm more for clear blue too, congratulations! x

Georgia2609 · 27/07/2022 17:45

@FT123456 Thank you 🥰

@Georgia2609 I'm in the UK. FRER is First Response Early Result. People tend to gravitate to them because of the risk of evaps and indents on Clearblues etc, though you can use whatever you prefer. Massive congratulations!

Georgia2609 · 27/07/2022 18:03

@SarahShorty I've never even noticed them in stores! Maybe I'll go boots and see if thru have any and try one of those
