Evap lines are where you can see a faint, colourless line where the positive coloured line should be. I can see the second line but not sure if evap or not. How soon did it come up after you took the test? I'd take another tomorrow, maybe buy a first response one x

thanks for replying... sorry I knew what am evap line was but I was being sarcastic/moody about it haha! I just don't get why they happen? make the tests better so we don't get them and we don't get our hopes up ☹️

I got similar mark to this yday on another test but nothing on first response... I'm not even sure exactly when I ovulated as I had two peak this month too (and haven't managed to pinpoint it with basal temp yet) I'm either 11 or 14 days past peak LH so I'm guessing that's anywhere between 8 to 11 days post ovulation...I guess if it's closer to 8 days po then too early to test 🙈

That looks like clearblue digital monitor stick, if that’s the case you need to pop it in the monitor to read it and it’ll give you a very obvious “pregnant” or “not pregnant”. Whilst my test sticks did have any obvious second line the further through pregnancy I got, it does say on the instructions the result can only be read on the monitor and cannot be worked out by any lines you see on the test.

PointyMcguire · 21/07/2022 12:40

Sorry that should say “an” obvious second line.

Rosiestraws · 21/07/2022 14:06

@PointyMcguire yes you're correct.. I don't actually have the eletronic monitor thing because I only got these in a refill pack with ovulation sticks (it had 20 ovulation sticks which could be used in a normal digitial monitor which I had and 4 pregnancy tests which were meant to be for the electronic monitor) So I only really got the pack for the ovulation test sticks and I just thought I'd give these pg tests a go as otherwise they'd go to waste... I know they say to ignore the lines but I've read other places that they would show up the usual two lines if pregnant? I guess maybe I'm kidding myself then :( Although it's promising that the further on you got, you did see positive lines on the stick anyway!!

Argh I hate all this waiting and testing.. I've felt the hintiest of hints of cramps yday and today but no sign of AF yet.. I guess just got to wait and hope..

I wouldn’t worry too much about cramping, I’m now 15wks but in the first few weeks I felt like I was constantly on the cusp of AF, it’s completely normal!

This was how mine showed, but I think I was around the 11wk mark by that point which is why it was so strong, but I don’t recall seeing a line on my early positive sticks so I really wouldn’t put too much stock in it at this stage x
