Ovulation after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago at 5+3 weeks. It was my first pregnancy and I am massively upset by it. 3 days before the bleeding started, I had a sharp throbbing pain in my right lower abdomen. This was a constant sharp pain for around 2 days. It really worried me but I was told pains in early pregnancy was normal so I tried to forget about it. 3 days later I had a miscarriage but I have no idea if it was related. 3 weeks later and I am ovulating (according to my ovulation sticks) and I am having the exact same sharp throbbing pain I felt but now on my left side. I've never had ovulation pain before and I'm wondering if this is it but it's also worried me that it's the exact same pain I felt 3 days before bleeding last time. Has anyone had similar pain before or suffer from ovulation pain? If it is that, is it usual to come on so suddenly when youve not had it before? I don't know whether it's something I should speak to the doctor about or not. This on top of everything has made me so anxious and any light that could be shed on it would be so gratefully received xx

I am so sorry for your loss, sending you a virtual hug.

During early pregnancy you can get ovary pain from the ovary you ovulated. Same can happen when you are ovulating, so you might be ovulating from your left ovary now. And the pain you had whilst pregnant might have been related to the ovary rather than miscarriage itself.

@sunnyd67 thank you so much for replying to me. That makes sense and is really good to know. Thank you! xx
