Clearblue OPK question

Hello, DH and I have been TTC for a while and I decided this month to try the Clearblue OPKs. I had about six left from a previous month (when I didn't take it seriously!) which I think will run out before I get the static smiley, because I was a bit keen and started testing too early.
Does anyone know if I buy a new kit I should use the tester from the new kit or continue with the tester I have been using this cycle?
I don't know why I'm finding this so confusing!

You can use the one you have or the new one. Doesn't matter 😊

If this is the clear blue advance digital with the flashing and solid smilies then I would carry on using the one you have been using if you have started testing this cycle. The reason being that the first time you use the tester it sets a baseline and then when you take the next test it compares the results.

If you haven't started testing then it doesn't matter
