False positive one step?

Sorry this has probably been done to death but I feel I need clarity and ask if anyone else has been in the same boat. I took 4 one step strip tests over the last 2 days all of which I believe to have been positive (I’ve added 2 pics of them on this post) but having taken 2 FRERs they are totally negative (I think- I’ve added one pic) I should be due my period any time now- I have pcos so never 100% sure but I am a lot more regular than I used to be. When I found out I was pregnant with my son I tested when I thought to be 1 day late and got a blazing bfp straight away so feel like this isn’t right. Wondering if it’s a chemical or just a false positive. Or faulty one steps! Anyway wonder if anyone else might have been in this situation! Thanks

Hi, yes the first response one is negative… so perhaps it’s a indent on the one step strip.

It’s hard to tell if there’s any colour to the one step test but I can see the second line. It looks colourless but I can’t be sure. The first response is definitely negative, hope you get your clarity soon as this can be a mind f*ck x

I had that with OneSteps. I bought a big bag of them on Amazon and a load of them were always positive. I tested one with tap water and got the same positive result. Sorry OP

Thanks all appreciate your responses, haven’t tested today and probably won’t again for a bit but still late so if anything happens will update 😌

Sorry for jumping on an old thread, but I need some advice. I explained in more detail on another thread but basically i've been getting a mix of positives and negatives with One Steps over the past 3 days. All the 'positive' ones came up straight away. I've seen lots of bad reviews about false positives so need a second opinion?

Thanks for responding. It should be due around now/ I may be a few days late. I'm not trying to get pregnant so I dont track ovulation which I guess is not helpful haha!

If you're late then I would say it looks like a potential negative as I'd expect lines to be stronger by now.

The lines seem to get fainter in the 2nd picture. Which indicates a potential chemical pregnancy.

But at the same time it's difficult to say for certain.
