Positive Ovulation Test 3 Days later?

My last two cycles, I had a static smiley on the clear blue digital tests on day 27 of my cycle.. in readiness for this, I tested and DTD as much as possible around this time.

I got my positive on Saturday AM, assuming I'd ovulate on the Sunday.

Today (Tuesday) I have had EWCM, so came home and did two further clear blue tests (one pink and one purple) both of which are positive!!

Has this happened to anyone? Does this mean I still haven't ovulated? Or can they remain positive despite ovulating?

My partner went away yesterday, so we last DTD on Sunday. I'm hoping this is enough and gutted I didn't get a good chance at trying ☹️

I've had this and I've also had fertility treatment where they have thought I was at risk of ovulating early because of my LH (blood) levels. So essentially I think what happened for me in the trying naturally (and presumably shown by the fertility treatment when it was all more carefully monitored) is that my LH levels get high enough for what would be a peak for most women and so the test indicates peak. I (in the fertility treatment) don't actually ovulate then though as the peak is high for most women but not "my" peak. So then LH keeps surging and later ovulation tests show another peak and THAT'S my personal ovulation peak.

No idea if that's completely correct for me, or for you, but that could be it. Just the first "peak" was when the test thought it was high enough to ovulate but perhaps not and the second one was when you actually were going to?

Who knows for sure and I'm in a similar position this month with DTD loads around first one then having EWCM and doing a second one etc and being confused and missing out on DTD enough as partner away!! Infuriating but just hoping that enough of the stuff was still there from before haha

@Rosiestraws thanks for sharing your experience! It's super frustrating isn't it.
My cycles since coming of the pill in Feb seem to be getting longer and longer, I'm hoping it's just my body adjusting still and I don't have PCOS.
Good luck! Hopefully we've both done enough!

This happened me and I didn't ovulate until the second peak which was 10 days later.. It only happened once, I think it was stress, my body didn't release the egg the first time. Its helpful to know it happens as was aware of it then for the next cycle..

@Rowen32 I learn more and more each month! I wouldn't have minded as much if my partner was here but he's away until Friday. Just going to try and put it to the back of my mind and hope for the best!
