Day 3 Bloods

Hello all,
Just had the results of my day 3 bloods back, it's pretty bleak...
High FSH (24)
Low oestradiol (30)
High prolactin (564)

Had AMH done a few months back, that was low (3.4). Antral follicle count was also poor (2).

BUT...

Day 21 bloods indicate normal ovulation. I have regular periods and get positive OPKs.

So, am I right in thinking natural conception still has a shot?
Or am I deluding myself and it's time to give up?

I know loads of you on here have had these tests and I would be grateful for any thoughts.

For background, I'm 38, have been ttc no. 2 for a year now. DD (2.5 yo) conceived naturally with no problems.

Thank you for reading x

I know this is a few months ago but just wondering how u got on

Professor Winston would say it would be almost impossible to conceive with a FSH that high, but if you advance search @Lucy304 it looks like she’s pregnant! Good luck @Xtina1986

@Xtina1986 I sought advice from a fertility clinic regarding my results. The doctor said it wasn't game over, everything indicated I was still ovulating, it's just that my body was having to work really hard each month to do so. This is because my ovarian reserve is low.
Anyway, he suggested starting some supplements and reviewing in a few months. Ordered the stuff (about £100 worth) but didn't even need it, I got my much longed for bfp before most of it had even arrived (this was cycle 13 of ttc). I don't know if it was just luck, coincidence or that I felt calmer and more relaxed about it all after taking proper professional advice.
Currently 16 weeks pregnant and crossing everything things continue to go well.
Hope this helps you.
Thanks also @Underlaps for tagging me otherwise I wouldn't have seen people had posted on this thread.

@Lucy304 congratulations Lucy that's amazing so happy for your bfp. My fsh is 19.2 my doctor thinks it's not bad and all. my other results are all normal and I'm ovulating each month as she told me my day 21 came back at 31. The week I had my day 3 bloods done my daughter had been very ill and we were in hospital with her my period had actually been 4 days late and she said I must have been so stressed which I was I was a total mess. Anyway she told me it can change month to month and stress can be a hugh factor. I've tried agus catus this month and wheatgrass hoping to lowering it. But its been a long journey I live in ireland and waiting times for fertility clinics can be long. If you don't mind me asking did you notice any changes the month you got your bfp.

@Xtina1986 thank you. To answer your question, I have had two bfps in my life and both times these things have happened really early on...

  1. Loads (and I mean loads) of white, jelly-like cm, around 5-6 dpo. I must get this instead of implantation bleeding! Nothing like the normal cm I get every other month. (Sorry if tmi)
  2. Raised heart rate and loads more active minutes logged, even though my daily activity hasn't changed (I wear a fitbit). I clocked up 58 active minutes in one day at work, my usual would be about 4! This is actually what prompted me to do a pregnancy test.
No other symptoms kicked in until about 6-7 weeks. As you already have a child, like I do, the odds are very much in your favour. I'm sure you'll get your bfp soon x

Thanks Lucy for the reply I actually have been having loads of white jelly stringy discharge from 5dpo not due af for another 4 days. I have gotten this in the past but its like a day or two before af never around 5dpo. Also every month I have real sore boobs but haven't this month. Not reading too much into it cause I've been so disheartened over the past few months sympton spotting, but its interesting about the jelly discharge. Would love that bfp soon so I can settle.
