Let’s start a lucky thread!

Started trying in January. Got pregnant in February but ended in a late missed miscarriage in April. Cycles out of whack since but now settling. Been on holiday in Turkey over the fertile week so lots of opportunities to try! Hoping it’s my finally my lucky month.

Currently 5dpo but rubbish at waiting so will test early next week!

Anyone else want to join?

I am. I also got pregnant in Feb and had a MMC in March, I'm 8DPO today. Going to try and wait until 12 DPO though! Glad you're feeling positive, I'm not tbh but I'm a pessimist at heart!

3rdtimelucky2022 · 16/07/2022 08:02

@Cegbee I think I’m trying to stay positive but also believe it won’t happen! Did you have to have any management for the miscarriage? Such a horrible thing to go through.

is this your first baby?

OP posts:
Cegbee · 16/07/2022 08:05

@3rdtimelucky2022 yes I had surgical management at the end of March, it still took me 2 months to have a period after it though. It will hopefully be my second, I have a toddler who is 3 in November. Is it your first?

3rdtimelucky2022 · 16/07/2022 11:06

No my third…first two happened much more quickly! Putting it down to my age :(

i had surgical management too, lost a lot of blood and it’s taken me a while to recover. I blame my Mmc on covid as had a healthy baby with a heartbeat and then got covid and then the heart stopped :(

sorry you’ve been through similar.

im going to hold out til 9dpo which will be Wednesdays so looks like we might test on same day!

any tips on how to stay distracted until then?!

OP posts:
Cegbee · 16/07/2022 18:59

The only thing that helps me is to keep busy but I'm crap at distracting myself in general! Sorry you had a traumatic time with your miscarriage. My genetic results came back as trisomy 13, which did sort of help me comes to terms with it because there never would have been a baby even if I hadn't miscarried. I got pregnant so easily with my first and the one that ended, so this TTC anxiety is new to me too. So tough!

vitahelp · 16/07/2022 22:08

Hi ladies! I’m 3dpo, second cycle ttc. Hoping to test late next week/next weekend. I already have a DD age 4.
With my DD I got pregnant very quickly but I’m 35 now so worried it won’t be as easy this time.

@3rdtimelucky2022 @Cegbee I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriages, I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been.

Glad to have found this thread and looking forward to sharing the 2 week wait and supporting each other 😊

Blue2020 · 16/07/2022 23:21

I got pregnant in Feb, had a mmc in April, I then started to miscarry a few weeks later, it continued for 5ish weeks and I then had surgery for that in May. I’m in the second cycle since the surgery and it’s just settling to be predictable again. Just before the fertile period my dh caught covid. So we may be out of trying for the next 3+ months. I’ve read multiple sources that covid can affect sperm. Will still try, but I need to lower my expectations.

With all that being said, I’m 6dpo. We only dtd once, a day after his symptoms subsided ( the day before ovulation).

3rdtimelucky2022 · 17/07/2022 09:45

@Cegbee sorry to hear about the trisomy but I understand how it must have helped your acceptance of the outcome. I asked for genetic testing of the foetus but they wouldn’t as I hadn’t had 3 miscarriages ☹️ Did you do a NIPT or did they test the products of conception after surgery?

@vitahelp welcome!! I’m the same age and also putting that down as the reason I’m struggling this time around. Second cycle is still very early on though so hopefully it happens quickly for you again. My youngest is nearly 4 and I know she would absolutely adore a baby in the house!

@Blue2020 welcome :) sounds like we have some stuff in common! I’m sorry you’re miscarriage was so dragged out, that must have been hard! I absolutely hate covid. We caught it in March and I blame the miscarriage on it. Really hope we can avoid it from now on whilst still TTC. I know somebody who is pregnant though after her and partner had covid the month before so you’re definitely not out!

fingers crossed for us all!! How’s everyone coping with the heatwave?

Hi all, joining for luck!
Had a MMC in Dec, surgical management, and then all sorts of strange cycles since then and not a whiff of a BFP.
I also had a hysteroscopy two weeks ago as my womb lining looked a bit thick on an ultrasound so trying to remain calm waiting for the results, and just praying I see something other than negative tests one day soon.
Think I'll be due on around Thursday next week so prob won't test till then. Hope this is a lucky thread for us all!

Cegbee · 18/07/2022 04:24

@3rdtimelucky2022 they tested the products of conception. I qualify for the genetic because of my age (38) but I'm not in the Uk so it might be different here.

Welcome everyone else onto the thread. Wishing you all the best of luck for your TWWs

3rdtimelucky2022 · 19/07/2022 06:01

Welcome @MO22 !

anyone tested yet??

Ive had a very stressful week. My daughters been having fevers of 39 which has not been fun during this week! I’ve been so stressed that I don’t think my body will implant an egg this month :(

@Cegbee where are you from? I really wish the UK would do that, would have really helped me mentally.

testing day probably tomorrow for me (9dpo). Have a FrER arriving today!

OP posts:
MO22 · 19/07/2022 14:40

@3rdtimelucky2022 I said I would test early.
Then I accidentally purchased some cheapo preg test on Amazon. They weren't meant to come until Thursday but apparently they're turning up today 😬

Not sure I will be able to keep my resolve! I'm either 5, 8 or 10 DPO depending on which tracking method I go by ha so could be a bit ridiculous to do it now 👀

MO22 · 19/07/2022 14:41

*wouldn't!

Have you used your FRER?

3rdtimelucky2022 · 19/07/2022 18:58

@MO22 not yet! Managed to stay strong. I satisfied my craving with a cheap test which was BFN :(

if you are 10dpo then there’s a chance it’ll show positive? And if it doesn’t then at least you still have hope as could be too early!

3rdtimelucky2022 · 20/07/2022 07:26

Hopefully this is a lucky thread! Now 9dpo and can see a vvvvfl. Have had lots of chemicals/indents in the past so not getting my hopes up just yet!

@3rdtimelucky2022 oh that’s good to hear. I’ve only been hearing about the negative affects on sperm after covid. It’s good to hear the positives.

I can see that line, that’s really good for 9dpo. Hope it progresses well over the next several days. I haven’t tested yet, we went to Italy for four days, only just got home.

vitahelp · 20/07/2022 21:49

@3rdtimelucky2022 Oh my gosh I can definitely see the line! Keeping fingers crossed that you see the line progress over the next few weeks, keep us updated!

@Blue2020 How many dpo are you?

I’m 6/7 dpo and I’m extremely bloated today and struggling with food and no appetite. It’s quite likely to be the heat or just my stomach playing up which it does from time to time..can’t help getting my hopes up that it’s a sign though!

Littleloula · 20/07/2022 22:51

Hey ladies.
We've been ttc for 2 years now.
I done 2 tests tonight.

4weeks 3 days (according to my app)
4 back to back chemicals.
One is positive one negative.

Im so scared it's another chemical😬

vitahelp · 21/07/2022 13:02

@Littleloula That's looks like a clear positive on the dye test. Have you tried doing another non-digital test? I remember reading that the digital tests require more HCG to show a positive result.
How many dpo are you?
I really hope this is your moment, keep us updated when you can 😊

3rdtimelucky2022 · 21/07/2022 14:44

@Littleloula welcome and congrats! I definitely think the dye test looks positive.

Mine seems to have got a bit darker this morning so I’m keeping everything crossed!

anyone else tested yet?!

OP posts:
vitahelp · 21/07/2022 18:33

@3rdtimelucky2022 Thats great news that your test lines are progressing! Will you continue testing once a day?

Ive not tested yet but only 7/8dpo so it’s a bit early. I started feeling a bit bloated and sickly again today as the day went on but I’m starting to think it is just a combination of the weather and being busy at work after going away.
