Flashing smiley

Hello, TTC baby no.2. Had coil removed recently and since using Clearblue OPKs have had my first flashing smiley this morning.

My periods stopped whilst I had my coil so no idea what my cycle is! Wondering if anyone can guide me on how many flashing days I should expect to see before peak? And also how often I should be DTD whilst having the flashing smiley?

@bellaolive it really varies. If you know your cycle, you'll have more idea of when to start using them. For eg, if you have a 28 days cycle, and ovulate generally around day 14, you should start using them around day 8 or 9. However, no one can really say how many flashing smileys you'll get because it's dependent on when you're going to ovulate. Don't be surprised if you have 9 for example whilst your cycle gets its self back in the swing of things. Then you can probably be more careful with the day you start using them and not use them so early in your cycle. Ultimately, you need to be having regular sex every few days, building a wide window around ovulation regardless of what your stick is telling you!

Thank you! I had ewcm yesterday and some cramping, and got a solid smiley when testing this morning! Does that mean I've ovulated or will be imminently? When is the best time to DTD? Sorry for all the questions
