Me and my partner have decided that next year we are happy for my to come off my pill and see what happens so to speak. I only have enough pills to last me until the end of December now anyway and my GP won’t prescribe me any more of the ones I’m currently on due to the health risks so I would have to swap to a different pill if I wanted to continue taking one which I don’t really want to do for the sake of a few months.
we didn’t want to come off the pill until around mid next year so to come off it in Jan worries me slightly in case we end up getting pregnant straight away. We will be using Natural Cycles to try and control this however.
we also want to go on holiday early next year but this is also a concern with my periods possibly being all over the place once coming off the pill.
My question is, should I come off it in December and go into the new year getting my periods back to normal and try and be careful until the mid point of the year when we want to get pregnant or shall I buy some of the current pill I was advised against taking by the GP (only for an extra 3 months to get me through going on holiday) and come off it slightly later?
