I had a miscarriage (will be 4 weeks on monday) . I bled for 2 days, and we then started ttc. I currently have covid and have had awful nausea this week, like pregnancy nausea and aversion to certain foods and water. But surely its too early to experience that? Or maybe covid has caused it.
I feel so nervous about testing.
I was also wondering....
With regards miscarriage. Does new cycle start once you actively start bleeding? Or is it possible your body starts to alter and start cycle,
if the baby died days before, when you weren't aware a miscarriage was happening.
So technically I could be further along my cycle? Does that make sense?

Hi op

I'm sorry for your loss.

Did you do a pg test after your miscarriage to see whether the HCG had left your body? I was still testing pg 3-4 weeks after my mc, af arrived 6 weeks after mc.

I think the only way you can know about the symptoms you're describing is to test. It is hard to know timings of everything when you haven't had a definite af after a miscarriage.

If you're not pg this time it might be worth in investing in ovulation trackers to help you know when is a good time TTC as a miscarriage can often mean a new cycle length / timing etc.

I don't think mc bleeding definitely means the start of a new cycle - I wouldn't count that as CD1, for example, as the residual HCG left after a miscarriage can cause delays with afs / ovulation I think so best things you can do is to track ovulation and wait for AF to start plotting cycles again.

Wishing you all the best on your journey 😊

Hi thanks for your reply. Yes I did a test a week after and it was neg.
I will most certainly invest in an ovulation tracker if I'm negative this time. I will perhaps wait until the middle of next week and test. I'm dreading the disappointment, as I'm already feeling low and fed up with having covid
