@Lucyintheskywithdiamonds1988 welcome, I am new here as well, in the last few days.

I am going to assume you don't know any of the abbreviations and there are a lot but I will just post a few for you.

Conception related ones

AF - Aunt Flo/Period
TTC - Trying to Conceive
BD - Baby Dance/Sex
CD - Cycle day
DPO - days past ovulation
LP - Luteal Phase
SMEP - sperm meets egg plan
CM - cervical mucus
EWCM - egg white cervical mucus
SHOW - Soft High Open Wet referring to checking cervix if you do that to monitor fertility
SXS - symptoms

Family abbreviations

OH - other half
SO - significant other
DH - dear husband
DP - dear partner
DC - dear child
DD - dear daughter
DS - dear son
SD - step-daughter
SS - step-son

But just ask as you go if you are not sure. I picked them up on a previous period of TTC so there may also be some specific to this group or newer ones.

@Gizzy93 oooh yea I've done some more squinting and can make it out! Looks like what I had this cycle which was for me unfortunately an indent but I've also seen people with similarly faint lines turn into bfp's so fingers crossed for you!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Angie2018 we‘ve been trying for ca 10 months (I know not THAT long but I’m in my 20s, healthy etc so was naive!) and ‚proper‘ ovulation tracking for 4ish cycles. I swear by it, I found out that I ovulate late so all apps were wrong and hence ‚just relax and BD‘ didn‘t work for me! 😅

@MattyM5 but 10 cycles feel long when you are on that journey though!! I am cycle 7 and it feels like we've been TTC for years 🤣

CD12 for me today. Only thing I'm having is full of gas 😂OPKs up to yesterday still negative. They should peak in next day or two. May DTD tonight too to be sure. So happy finished my last shift on my team last night and now going to start on new team which is less night shifts. More DTD time haha.

@Angie2018 I hundred percent agree, time seems to move in slow motion when ttc 🤣

Struggling today, another BFN, 11dpo.
Got the family coming over and feel like I just want to hide under the covers. 😔
I know it could still be too early, wish I could stop testing!!

As @ChickenT2b it's so hard isn't it. We really do get it tough us girls. The disappointment of a BFN is awful. However maybe having plans today, even though you don't feel up for them might be the best thing to take your mind off it all. Also 11dpo is still early and some people don't get BFP until later on. What cycle are you on?

@ChickenT2b yeah that's still super early, if you implanted yesterday for example the hormone wouldn't show for another 3 - 4 days it takes time to increase so don't panic!

@EdinburghGirl1 thanks for replying. Feel so alone with it sometimes.
Started trying April 2021. Had two miscarriages this year, last one in May. It’s all consuming at this point!

@Angie2018 thank you. It doesn’t help that everytime you Google hcg after implantation you get a different answer.
I guess it depends on the individual as well.

@ChickenT2b it 100% depends on the individual! Some peoples natural HCG is lower so take longer but doesn't mean anything is wrong, some people don't get a positive until after a missed period and 11dpo is still super early. You can implant up to 12dpo so it's not too late for a BFP!!

@ChickenT2b you're definitely not alone. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages.

This is only my second cycle ttc#2 so just getting started really but took a a few months with my first when all my friends seemed to fall pregnant on their first cycle! So I found that tough. This time I feel a bit more relaxed as I know it can take several months but doesn't stop me still obsessing over it lol

@Angie2018 had my tooth out at 10 o'clock last night! It's not too bad now Iv took some pain killers. Yes I'm 1DPO on my one app and 2DPO on my other lol. How are you? Xx

@My2boysaremyworld so glad you've finally had it out & you can be pain free from now on, well, in a day or 2!

@My2boysaremyworld ahhh hope you are ok! Glad the painkillers are working. I'm ok thank you. Still don't think up get my BFP for another 3 months or so. But hey! We've been DTD lots anyway! Tbh I don't know if I ovulated late last night around 11pm or this morning.... I had left ovary pain late last night and I had my peak LH in the early hours of yesterday morning, but, my temp rise wasn't loads more this morning, and I have had right ovary pain this morning 🤣 so I don't know if I have ovulated last night and my temp is slow to rise and I may get a bigger rise tomorrow morning as that's apparently very normal it doesn't always rise straight away, or I have ovulated this morning and I'll see a temp rise tomorrow morning OR I have ovulated from both ovaries OR none 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I suspect it was last night, but I have never in my life had ovary pain in both ovaries it's normally one and I googled and apparently it's very possible in 21% of women can ovulate two eggs in a month one from each ovary. So if that's the case and we succeed there's a change of twins 🤣🤣 I don't think that's happened, I think it was last night xx

I have no idea when or if Iv ovulated as not tracked it this cycle. Iv had lots of CM and had a tinge of blood in it yesterday like I did on Thursday. Don't know what that is? Xx

You may find that the month you haven't given much thought to tracking etc you conceive!! I have had EWCM with a tiny blood tinge for the last few cycles actually, I haven't with this one though. Just had EWCM for 5 days. This months been weird tbh I am not convinced at all xx
