When is CD1?

I'm about to start month 1 of TTC, but getting confused with what is CD1?

My cycles are 23-26 days long usually, but I normally spot bright red blood for 3-4 days before my period, then have 2 days of light/medium flow, then spot red a couple more days and that's it!

So technically if I don't count spotting my period is only 2 days? Or do I count spotting if it's red?

CD1 is the first day or your period, a new cycle starts from the first day of your period and you'll usually ovulate around CD14 but it can come early or late, if you haven't already I'd definitely look into opk's and temping.

Also I'd say if it's red blood I would personally count that as my period, just sounds like you have really light periods

Don't count spotting as your period. When you have a full flow that is cycle day 1 xx
