This is a chemical isn't it? :(

Tests are Wednesday (11dpo), Thursday (12dpo) and today 13dpo all afternoon as I can never really go to the loo or drink much at work and my wee is always really light on a morning.

Had a little spotting and cramping yesterday and just a bit of cramping today :(

You never know you could have ovulated later than you think. I would do a test in the morning regardless of how you think your wee is and also it's not over until it's over. Fingers crossed for you

Endogal · 01/07/2022 17:43

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ really hope it's not over 😢 will see what tomorrow brings I guess xx

OP - I really don’t want to be cruel but they look negative to me. How long after testing did the faint line appear?

Endogal · 01/07/2022 18:00

They came up straight away and I've had positives on 6 other brands too so I do think there was something if there isn't still, its hard to get a focused pic of all 3 but they are pink

kmbegs · 01/07/2022 18:31

I'd they came up in the time they're definitely positive. Also don't worry about cramping, it happens to most people in pregnancy, although obviously also when you get your period so I just wouldn't assume it means anything either way. Let us know how you get on.

Furrbabymama1987 · 01/07/2022 18:35

They look positive to me. There's definitely a line. However I've only ever had lines that faint when I was testing around 9 to 10 dpo. Or if they were like that after my missed period, I later came on. So I presume I had chemicals.

RinklyRomaine · 01/07/2022 18:46

Can you really not see the lines, @Blue4YOU ?!

Op, those are BFPs. Those tests are not meant to track progression, they are just not finely tuned enough for that. A blood test could work, but it's early. It could be a so called chemical but there are lots of factors which can affect them. At 13dpo, in the afternoon, well, no one can tell you! Take it as positive, especially if you don't definitely know when you ovulated.

baxtersm · 01/07/2022 18:56

Why would you not take it as positive? A chemical should be like a really heavy period so if you've no bleeding then hope for the best??

Blue4YOU · 01/07/2022 18:59

@RinklyRomaine i can but they look like they could be evap lines. Hopefully not and all will be well but I know from bitter experience that tests like that can be wrong. I only say that so the OP doesn’t go through hell if it’s not pregnancy (there are threads on this issue- one recently where the OP’s partner had had a vasectomy and had a test look like this and she wasn’t (ultimately) pregnant)

RinklyRomaine · 01/07/2022 19:11

The lines are pink, and I don't even think they are that faint. OP also says they came up immediately so can't be evap. Anyway. I was on these boards a long time...one evap yes, 3 on 3 consecutive days? Not so much. 1 in 4 pregnancies unfortunately don't stick so nothing is guaranteed, especially testing this early, but no need to be panicking yet OP!

Huffle · 01/07/2022 19:16

I can’t offer you any words of wisdom I’m afraid OP but I’m in the same boat. Positive tests that haven’t really progressed since 12 dpo (currently 14) it’s so hard the not knowing isn’t it 😞
this was my test yesterday and exactly the same today so not holding out much hope but I guess we have to just wait it out x

Thank you everyone for being so kind ❤️ you're right, there's no way of knowing for sure yet. Just so nervous, we've been trying for soo long and lines on multiple different tests for different days is the furthest I've got so I was so excited, just think I was a bit jarred as was expecting a darker line today. Will see what happens over the weekend 🤞🏼 xx

Endogal · 01/07/2022 19:42

@Huffle keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 it's so hard isn't it when some people's seem to darken so obviously, that looks like a great line though so that's promising!!! Xx

Have you tried a digital @Endogal ?

Endogal · 01/07/2022 19:46

@Huffle I did and it was negative but I know they can be less sensitive so that plus the positives on other tests means I wasn't too worried! Have you? Xx

OP posts:
Huffle · 01/07/2022 19:49

@Endogal yes got 1-2 on digital but it didn’t make me feel much better! AF two days late now but I’ve been here before and had a chemical. Fingers crossed for you too xx

Endogal · 01/07/2022 20:02

@HufHuffle 1-2 is about right for 14dpo! If it's any comfort I've seen reviews where people get different weeks on tests in the same wee so I wouldn't read too much into it! Xx

You can’t tell from the progression of tests- look at these from with my now 5yr old. I had a risk of miscarriage because of a medical issue with me, so got obsessed with the tests! Based on your theory she would have been a chemical (this is over 5 days) but she definitely isn’t!

Good luck!

@BuBurnDownTheDiscoHangTheDJ thank you soo so much for posting that, that's very reassuring to see!! I so hope it's the same for me and I'll be on here comforting someone else Xx

Please don't test until you're late. Early testing sends people loopy.

Good luck 💐

Endogal · 01/07/2022 21:05

I know I shouldn't but I just can't help myself! If it is a chemical I may be more inclined to do that next month knowing how I feel now!

Morning ladies, just to give an update I do think this is going to end in a chemical :( the test yesterday was about the same lightness and today it is slightly lighter. I'm going to try an evening test to see if my FMU is just too dilute (I drink more at and in the night) but I do feel as though at 14/15dpo the lines should be darker by now... I know I'm not out till AF comes but I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself for the worst while I hope for the best :( xx

OP posts:
Huffle · 03/07/2022 09:46

Fingers crossed for you @Endogal unfortunately AF arrived for me this morning so mine was a chemical

Endogal · 03/07/2022 10:05

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that @Huffle :( sending hugs xx
