How to get pregnant with BV

I discovered I have BV, bacterial vaginosis for first time, tested it, bought pessaries, probiotics, and obtaining antibiotics from boots, arranging docs appointment. I've read it can be recurrent and I'm worried its actually quite bad like I have strange discomfort in my belly/bladder or somewhere around there and thighs. I even threw up, perhaps linked, perhaps coincidental. And I'm tired.

I'm 37 so not much time left for ttc, and was so upset to miss my ovulation date with this issue especially as I have pcos. If it recurs what do I do? Do we try with pv, or is it a must to get it cured first. Sex wasn't uncomfortable just strangely wet and disconcerting - I thought I'd peed myself.

Has anyone got pregnant with bv?

I would really advise to get the BV out of the way before getting pregnant. I had it recurrent for over 6 months and the pains I would get were absolute agony, I have a vivid memory of being in Iceland and I had to stand still and grit my teeth for about 2 minutes because the pain was that excruciating I couldn't walk.

Mine was down to my copper coil, once removed I never had it again x

Definitely get to GP and get right treatment which I believe is metronidazole. Be careful you are not over washing your vulva and getting rid of the good bacteria. It can cause issues in pregnancy so you want it got rid of

Oh no, I'm so sorry it was so painful. Glad it's gone now! I've been fortunate so far it has been uncomfortable rather than painful. I got antibiotics from boots doctor and I'm trying to get a full doctors appointment.
