Feeling confused

So bare with me…

I haven’t tested religiously this cycle as the routine of it all has had me mega stressed in the past so I’m just testing as and when I feel like it (probably pointless tbh but I like some sort of control🙄😂)

Well I’ve tested this evening I’m CD22, apparently 7dpo and lh risen although it’s not a high reading… it’s never been this high at this point in my cycle.

I did have some spotting from CD18-20 which I thought was ovulation spotting (I’ve never had spotting between periods so I don’t actually know) but now I’m thinking maybe I didn’t actually ovulate and that my peak will be coming soon but like I say, that’s odd for me🤷🏼‍♀️

Please share your thoughts on this because I dunno what to think about it x

Perhaps you should try a pregnancy test instead?!

I will try tomorrow morning, I can’t imagine I’m pregnant As af only finished 2 and a half weeks ago x

I agree with the first comment - have you got any cheapy preg tests to try?

You aren't 7DPO based on these OPKs as you didn't get a positive 8/9 days ago. are you going by an app?

It's possible you may have got a positive on CD17, 18 or 19 but that would make you minimum 4 DPO
CD17 - positive
CD18 - ovulation
CD19 - 1DPO
CD22 - 4DPO

If the OPKs were darkening due to pregnancy this happens because the HCG molecules are similar to LH molecules which is why OPKs show positive when HCG is present. 4DPO is far too early for HCG to be present. Could you have ovulated before CD13?

It could also be a random high reading after ovulation or that your body is gearing up for a late ovulation?

@KatySp I know it’s not likely that I’m 7dpo because I haven’t been testing regularly…

I can’t imagine that I ovulated before cd13 as all previous tests in my other cycles I’ve had peak my peak usually between cd16&19 although I know this can mean nothing and it can still come earlier/later.

I wouldn’t of said I was pregnant anyway given that my last period started 3 weeks ago so it’s be too early to know anyway…

If I am gonna ovulate late then I’d be okay with that as I was worrying we’d missed it this time but obviously I’m not sure what’s going on here.

I know you can have a surge just before a period but then again, I’m not due on for another 9 days😬

Most months my second line is non-existent unless it's ovulation time. This month it did darken a bit after ovulation. Just happens sometimes.

If you are usually regular then you probably did just ovulate while you didn't test. All you can do is wait to see if AF comes on time or carry on with the OPKs incase it's late.

It would drive me crazy to miss some test days and wonder if I did ovulate or not so I can imagine how you feel.

@KatySp yeah it’s not been an easy one but it’s swings and roundabouts, I test regularly and get stressed or I don’t test regularly and I’m happier but have no idea what’s going on, it’s a hard one really

I would say you're gearing up for a late ovulation. If you are TTC, keep trying!

It’s kind of music to my ears because my boyfriend was poorly when ovulation was predicted so we missed out really!😬x

There's been so many months where I swear I won't test but I need to know what's going on so I can't bring myself to do it. Perhaps in a few months once I can predict my cycle a bit better (unless I'm pregnant by then 🤞🏻)

@KatySp we’re on cycle 16 at the minute so I think that’s part of my reason for not testing anymore and it’s not really helped anything in a way x

Little update - definitely not pregnant judging by my cheapy test but I’ve had what looks like or is close to my peak just now! So definitely a late ovulation x
