After trawling threads I can’t find this situation…!

Sunday 26th 13 DPO. Positive at home. Didn’t take photo binned it!😬
Monday 27th 14DPO. Positive at home.

Tuesday 28th 15DPO. I had a doc appt this PM (unrelated) and asked for a test, the doc came back and said my test was negative, not a faint, not a maybe. 100% negative. I didn’t clap my eyes on the docs test, but she won’t have likely made a mistake. I declined the blood test (regretting that now!)

I tested again at home Tues PM to see the negative myself. And it was friggin positive. But definitely faint.

So feels like the writing is on the wall. So now in limbo waiting for the bleed….😫

Not needing words of comfort necessarily. Think it’s not viable. Will update this post. WHAT. A. ROLLERCOASTER.

Hi @bcmumma - it sounds like probably a chemical sadly. Maybe take a test in a few days if no AF. X

I agree, sadly.

My home tests being more sensitive than the doc office though- that’s a surprise!

On AF watch, debating testing again- but daily testing may give me that glimmer of hope, which isn’t helpful mentally

The 28th looks darker than the 27th which is a good sign.

I'm sure the doctors tests aren't as sensitive as some of the home pregnancy tests.

Test again in 2 days with the same test and that should tell you.

Thanks Katy!
Ofc couldn't wait 2 days....so did it this morning!
It is still BFP. And still no AF.
Feel like a sitting duck, with a million snipers pointed at me! Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

The progression looks good. HCG doubles every 48 hours so really you need to compare tests every other day.

Can you call your doctors to see if you could get a blood test? I don't think AF will be coming for you for at least 9 months

Thank you for the info and idea.
The doctor is sending me a referral for 2 blood tests, 48hrs apart - to see the hcg levels - fingers crossed!!

That's good, got everything crossed for you

Strategist · 29/06/2022 19:49

@bcmumma not to give you false hope but this EXACT situation happened to me and he's now a two year old!

sausageandbeansx · 29/06/2022 20:01

They are pretty strong positives to be a chemical though I would think

bcmumma · 29/06/2022 20:38

@Strategist @sausageandbeansx @KatySp @FlyOnTheWall89
I've got one blood test booked for tomorrow - Thurs 🙌
Trying to find a lab open on Saturday to get the second one 48ish hrs later.
Feeling more positive today than yesterday - but ofc there is a doubt in my mind about the viability. But lines look good, and if I hadn't done one at the docs, I'd be none the wiser to anything being amiss!

@Strategist it isn't false hope, it is good to hear of a happy tale 🤗 Did you ever get to understand why the doc office test came back negative?

OP posts:
bcmumma · 30/06/2022 16:47

Blood test today, and Saturday. So answers are coming!!

Line progression has me feeling good, and no AF!

Oooh yeah that looks so good! Congrats Flowers

MamaSJ15 · 30/06/2022 22:27

Wow good progression on those tests! I do think the the tests they do at the hospital or docs aren't as sensitive, when I went in for an early scan (I actually had an early miscarriage) their test said negative but mine were still faintly positive at home for a good few days.

KatySp · 01/07/2022 00:15

@bcmumma did you get your HCG numbers today?

bcmumma · 01/07/2022 01:55

KatySp · 01/07/2022 00:15

@bcmumma did you get your HCG numbers today?

@KatySp I didn’t. They’re going to give me both sets early next week. I’m guessing they didn’t as one number alone isn’t much of a read, they’re looking at the growth. My assumption!

@KatySp @MamaSJ15 @FlyOnTheWall89 @Strategist @sausageandbeansx
THANK YOU ALL for your support thru last week - it was rough.

Some light now. My Thursday blood test was hcg 275 (4wk5d) and Saturday 617 (5wks) - so progression/doubling is there.
Ofc no guarantees, but right now no reason to be concerned.

Waiting patiently (but not really very patient!) for heartbeat ultrasound

Congrats! I was hoping you would up date us. Do you have an early scan booked or do they just wait until 12 weeks?

The tests drs use are not sensitive tests that you can get your hands on so often you can test negative on their test but positive at home good luck op x
