Hi all,

I’ve been ttc for 7 months.I came off the pill 9 months ago. I went to a private fertility specialist because my periods are really irregular, 40, 41,31,36,42 and 44 days. He said straight away I’m not ovulating properly! I have also had nhs tests which concluded the same but were boarderline. He said cycles which are this long and irregular show there is an issue. He said because I’ve been on the pill since I was young it may just take time to adjust or I could have pcos. Either way I would need the same treatment - something to make me ovulate. I have a nhs appointment in September booked but not sure what the progress is ? How long does it take from seeing gynecologist please to getting treatment? I am worried it will take a long time and I’m not getting younger at 32 - any advise would be appreciated. I’ve had a scan and my ovaries are fine and have plenty of eggs . Not sure whether to start saving more and go private
