Is this an early miscarriage?

Hiya. Don't want to sound dramatic but we have been trying for a baby for 6 months. I have irregular periods and this cycle it was a little late but nothing out the ordinary. However I felt terrible with it, sick extremely tired and severe cramping along with feeling really clammy hot but also freezing. Way worse than my usual symptoms. My periods usually last 2-3 days and the 3rd day is hardly anything. I am on day 4 and feeling extremely tired, loss of appetite, emotional, and dazed over like kind of spaced out. At work I felt it happen and rushed to the toilet I had passed loads of really big clots. So much so some fell on the floor. My pad was completely saturated and about 6 clots each the size of boiled egg. Do you think this could be a very early miscarriage? Has anyone experienced similar to this. Thanks

That sounds quite concerning, I'd be advising you to see your GP tomorrow or call NHS24 if your passing clots larger than 50p. I think if you were to take a pregnancy test at home you may have HCG in your system which would tell you if you had been pregnant but that's not 100%. I'm sorry you're going through this.

You should go to the hospital.

Definitely call 111 or go to a&e. I had a c section 8 weeks ago & have a clotting condition & passed a clot the size of a boiled egg and it dropped on the floor. Just one, after major surgery, they weren't concerned as it's expected but my point is that in "normal" circumstances it's not expected. Definitely not multiple, please call just in case to get checked out

Thank you for your replies. It all seems to have passed and feeling a bit better this morning. However the clots are concerning I guess and I know feeling like that is not my normal. I am well over due a Smear so I think I might get that booked in and mention it there.
