Miscarriage referral

Hi 👋🏻 I'm unfortunately having my 3rd miscarriage right now, I'm 35 and I want to try again in the future or asap!
My hospital have told me they will refer me to a miscarriage clinic but as far as I'm aware there aren't any in wales and they are jus consultant that do some tests? I don't mind what it entails but I'm sure this waiting list is going to take a long time. And time I don't want to wait to be honest, for answers.
Is it worth going private ? Or is it worth waiting a few months to see if I do get a referral ? If you have gone private, how much was it roughly if you have for investigations into recurrent miscarriages? It seems I can get pregnant but not getting past 6/7 weeks.

I'm not sure what you've tried so far but an interim solution could be to take baby aspirin every evening (can start asap, I started CD1) and get an online, private prescription for progesterone pessaries, which you should start at 2/3dpo. Obviously you'll need to be tracking ovulation accurately with OPKs and temping to get the timing right.

Both support the early stages of pregnancy and are recommended for women who have had multiple miscarriages. And so many women have had success! (Me too)

Thanks, @Flederjo I'm scared to try again right now as due to the emotional trauma being so raw and losing 3 pregnancies in 18 months and the last one last week! I thanks so much xx

If you aren't looking to try again then perhaps wait for the referral.

The first thing they will suggest is taking aspirin every day from now on. I've read of this working with so many women. It seems so cheap and effective. It's such a low dose that it can't do you any harm.

If you think you will try again sooner rather than later it might be quicker to go private.
