Hi, I have just stopped my pill for the first time and have been wondering if there is anything more I should start doing other than starting folic acid. I am going to make sure I am eating healthier and drinking less but apart from that? I am also worried about after being on the pill for 12 years how long it will take for my period to come back and if my skin will be bad…. Not sure what I am asking really more of a brain dump as feeling a bit overwhelmed

Hi @ChateauProvence 🙂👋

I stopped my pill mid April and I had my withdrawal bleed 2 weeks later. I assume you were on desogestrel?

My period is a bit random at the minute, but varies between 24-28 days every month. I'm hoping my period will settle over the coming months.

I'm currently only taking folic acid, so I'd like to follow this post as I'd like to know what else I should take too 🙂

Good luck and sending baby dust 🥰

Hello, I was on the pill for around 12 years before I came off for the first time. My period came back like clockwork and it is possible to become pregnancy straight away as long as you ovulate. Don't worry about things too much as stress may delay your period and has the opposite effect on TTC than you want!
Good luck on your journey! ❤️

I stopped my pill in October, my period returned to normal almost immediately, but unfortunately my skin really flared up
