OPK and Covid

Good morning!

I’ve been unlucky to have Covid twice in the last month, both times around the time my period was due. Period has been and gone, definitely not pregnant…

However, I wouldn’t usually test so early with the OPKs but my period is shorter than usual (just come off non hormonalIUD so still getting used to my cycle) so it prompted me to test early. Anyway both on CD3 and 4 the OPKs weren’t positive but weren’t far off and here is today CD5 …

I don’t think I have PCOS or anything but to see them like this concerns me a bit! As it’s too early! I tend to ovulate around CD15/16 although I believe I did on CD13 last time …

Any thoughts? Is this Covid’s work? Any conceive after being hit by Covid like this?

Thank you in advance!

Today's is still not positive, OP. But maybe getting there and you'll have early ovulation

Argh it cut me off, hit post accidentally! COVID does seem to affect some people's cycles. Best thing is just keep tracking and hopefully it all settles down!

My two cycles post Covid were affected.... inoculated late the first which made my period late & ovulated early the second and brought my period earlier. Third cycle was normal. Doesn't mean you can't get pregnant though! Just need to keep testing twice a day to catch your peak :)

Those aren’t positive yet it could be covid affected when you ovulate or could be that this cycle it’s going to be a slo burner getting to your peak and it will still be a few days until you get a peak. I started testing this cycle on CD4 and at first they were a bit darker then got lighter then darker again. AF makes my tests darker. Last cycle I used OPK the whole way through and just before AF the lines got really dark (not positive though) then on last day of AF I started testing again and was still darker than I expected but didn’t stay that way.

could be anything our bodies like to trick us so keep testing and see what happens 😊
