DP and I have decided to ttc number 3, are we mad?

We have 2 dds but DP has always wanted a boy as well. We are just starting to get on top of our finances, dd2 starts school in september, are we mental to go back to square one so to speak of sleepless nights nappies and no money?

Hi, I have 3. Boy (7) Girl (6) Boy (2). After having our little girl we had one of each, never though to have anymore. When I fell with the last one he was a bit of a shock- but the kids were soooo excited- I got excited. I have never been happier. It was tough starting all over again, but a really lovely experience. I love being with him- I feel very lucky.

There is never a good time to have another baby, financially speaking- I didnt find it that much more expensive really.

You will suddenley realise after the baby is born how your older children seem instantly more grown up- its very strange!

As for me I am considering no4- so no your not mad- go for it!!!

So long as yo can both be happy should that happen, then just go for it. I'd love to have 3 children. I'm one of three. Although mum has said it was hard work when we were little. We were great company for each other, occupied each other etc.. She is reaping the rewards now, with 2 daughter and a son... and lots of grandchilden!

Also, we are all really close now, with our own children.
( which sound really odd to say out loud.. how and when did we all grow up??? ) Our family is fantastic. Brilliant as there are three of us for sure!

I hope not. I am 21 weeks with DD and have 2 DS's 5 and 2.5. I have moments when I think I must be a bit mad but then I just think about how quickly my boys are growing up. DS2 is still quite sweet - brushing my hair this morning and telling me that he wuvs me. While DS1 is asking me if he can wear his skateboarding t-shirt to gymnastics - cause its 'cool'. We weren't desperate for a DD but it is certainly adding to the excitement since we found out ... I still have just about everything from DS2 so the expense initially at least won't be that much, but I think we will have to have a long hard think about whether it will make sense to have all three in private schools.
