How long did it take to conceive your second?

How long did it take you to conceive your second? Was it longer than your first? My friend and I are both TTC number 2 and curious to see how different it was second time around for people. For context- It took me 18 months to conceive my first, 16 months for my friend.

Found out 2 days ago that I am expecting my second.

Took one cycle with my first, and I know how unusual that is so was fully prepared for it to take months this time. It didn't. Conceived on my first cycle this time around as well.

19 months for first and 2.5 years for second (both scattered with various miscarriages)
I was 35 and 39 years old when conceived

First proper cycle (after my withdrawal bleed) both times.

I know I was very, very lucky.

DC1 first cycle
PG2 (MC) third cycle
DC2 fourth or fifth, can't remember

A week - which was a total shock after many months of not conceiving followed by fertility treatment with our first.

Second cycle after coming off the pill for our 1st. Currently pregnant with no.2 after just 1 cycle. I wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly both times!

1st - 1st cycle

2nd - 2 years!

3rd - 5/6 months, all in my 30's

1st we wasn't actually trying.
2nd 10 years we got to the point where we thought it would never happen and stopped trying within months was pregnant.
3rd again we wasn't trying.
4th 3 months after giving birth to number 3 again we was not trying.i had the coil fitted.

3 and a half years for first, we're almost a year in trying for second.

Eleven months for my first.

For my second, 10 minutes! A bit of a shock considering DC1 was only seven months and I was still breastfeeding.

It was four months for my third, I think.

1 month for my first aged 29, 8 months for my second aged 31 and 15 months and still trying for my third 😭💔 aged 35 x

Surprise for first! 30
1 month for second - 32
2 months for 3rd - 35

Nearly 3 years TTC 1st

1st cycle TTC 2nd

Three months for first. 30.
One month for second. 33.

DS - 13 months. Trying for DC 2 now and on our 10th cycle but have had two chemicals during that time.

1st took about 9 months.

I was also lucky. I conceived first time every cycle for all of mine.

DD - 7 years
PG2 - 5 years - miscarriage
Never got pregnant again.

1st was s a surprise so technically 1st cycle? I was 19.

2nd conceived on first try, 26.

Almost a year with my first. Currently 9 weeks pregnant and not really trying this time. Just happened. My DD is almost 11 months old so wasn't really planned and my periods have been very irregular since they came back

Although tbh, it was literally one attempt and we're now pregnant 🤣

Thanks everyone. It really is amazing how different it is for everyone. Makes me laugh that in sex Ed in school we were essentially told if you have sex you WILL get pregnant.
Clearly not the case!

pg 1 - first cycle, didnt even have a period after stopping pill, had to have a termination. Was 17.
pg 2 - 10 months after stopping pill, ended in a MMC at 8 weeks. was 24.
pg 3 - 3 months after MMC, resulted in my daughter, I was 25.
pg 4 - wasnt trying, was still breastfeeding and had no idea I was pregnant until I went for a scan and was told I was 8 weeks along. resulted in my son, I was 26.

no rhyme or reason to it!

1st 6 months
2nd 8 months, just found out a few days ago❤
