I'm having my 3rd miscarriage right now& I've been TTC for 2 years now.
I'm so physically and emotionally tired I've got so much heartache & I'm heartbroken. I'm hoping to be referred to maybe get some answers as to why this keeps happening. And even though I wanna try again I feel like I need a break I'm just conscious of my age(36).
I was thinking of taking a years break. Has anyone else done this ? Thanks good luck to all on your journey xx

Hello!

I have thought this many times I am turning 37 this year, trying over 10years and had one loss in 2019.

There's been times where I know mentally the break would do me good but I put pressure on myself because of my age/weight/health issues.

I am currently going through counselling to help me come to terms with that it might not happen, it's like grief counselling, grieving the baby I never had. I have found it tough (still can't say the words without bursting into tears) but I must admit talking to a professional (and an outsider of the situation) has helped me put some things into perspective.

Only you know when it's time to stop/pause. Do what is best for you.

Ttcing can take so much out of you, it's draining and can mentally take a massive toll. personally the hope I hold on to forces me on, even when it's really tough.

Good luck to you and remember you know what's best for you, look after yourself.

Hi I'm sorry for your losses.

I have also had 3 miscarriages since march 2021. We did think about taking a break but I think I found it made my mental health worse and I was always thinking, what if this month was my good egg. However, i agree it is very difficult and only you can know what is best for you. Maybe don't put a timeline on the break so just take it month by month and see how you feel?

I had my last mc in February and for referees by the nhs and still haven't heard anything from them. We decided to go private instead and the results found nothing wrong although my partner has not been tested. That will probably be the next steps for us.

I'm currently 33 and also feel the time pressure. I could say I wish we had started earlier but me and my ex never wanted them and with my current partner we started trying after 18 months together. Just wish we had met sooner so I felt less pressure.
