Hi Ladies

Let's talk CM!! Before my DD was born I always got the thick clear CM when I was ovulating! It was a clear sign that it was time. Well now we are going for #2 but ever since DD ewas born I no longer get that CM! I'm getting positive ovulation tests but I'm worried I'm not ovulating properly!

Anyone ever experienced anything similar? Do you all get thick CM when ovulating?

My CM never changes 🤷‍♀️ I was so worried about it when we were TTC. It took 11 months but we got there in the end and now have a 3 month old 😊

Oh how wonderful! Congratulations Flowers

I think it's just because it's different to how it was for so many years before DD was born. I'm a bit worried my hormones are off balance.

I would say that everything changes after having a baby! If your ovulation tests are positive I'd say you're okay on that front. Maybe look out for other ovulation signs too? Not everyone gets all the signs but others do.

I could have written this post myself. I'm in exactly the same position and it's stressing me out. My DS is 3.5 and so it's over 4 years since ttc before. First time round I felt really clued up on what my body was doing and when. The CM was really obvious etc. Now it's still there but less of it/this month there was only one day with EWCM and not much of it. We have only just started ttc #2 but I'm 34 this time around. I'm going to give it a few months and if nothing I might look at getting hormone levels checked to be sure.

Nita92 · 21/06/2022 21:10

@MamaSJ15 I do get a bit of ovary pain at around that time so I'm really hoping all is normal and it's just a bit of a hormone change since having my DD.

@Whatsnext20 wow yes sounds just like me! My DD is also 3.5! I'm actually having a blood test tomorrow to test my hormone levels to check I'm actually ovulating so fingers crossed all is well! I know the thick CM is also supposed to make it easier for the little swimmers to travel too so that's another thing that makes me worry! It's such an emotional roller coaster isn't it!! I really hope you get your BFP soon Flowers

Thanks @Nita92 . Is your blood test through the GP or did you go private? I think my GP wouldn't do anything at this stage for me.

Fingers crossed for you too!

Nita92 · 21/06/2022 21:52

Yes it's through my GP Smile didn't even question how long we have been TTC. I just expressed my concerns and he said let's do a blood test! Ask the question you never know and it may put your mind at rest.

@Whatsnext20 just wanted to let you know so got my blood results with the doctor which confirmed my ovulation. So although things have changed since my daughter it appears hopefully all is still working as it should! Hope this helps out your mind at ease too Smile

Whatsnext20 · 05/07/2022 14:10

@Nita92 thats good news for you and hopefully I'll be in the same position. Going to try to get some bloods done in a couple of months if no luck. Good luck to you and thanks for taking the time to come back and share your results.

Just wanted to say I had a similar issue since having my DD 3 years ago, started taking evening primrose oil from CD1-OV and have noticed a massive increase in CM. I don't take after OV, can't remember the reason why but it has worked for me. Good luck TTC x
