Cervical mucus but negative ovulation test?

Anyone experiencing this? I usually just go by my body and on that reckoning ovulation would have started yesterday afternoon, but ovulation tests (clear blue digital) are negative with just the circle showing. I’m on day 13 of my cycle so would have expected to be fertile by now Hmm any thoughts?

EWCM can precede ovulation by a few days....it marks your fertile period. If you temp you can confirm ovulation.

I get ewcm for about 4 days before a positive test 🙂

Thanks - I’ve looked into temping but it seems to follow ovulation, is that correct? DH works away so need to time this! Smile

Yep,. OPKs predict ovulation and temping confirms it (after it happens). Many people use both to get a really good idea of their cycles.

On CD13 you're most likely heading into your fertile period, but ovulation might be a day or so off if you're not getting positive OPKs. Never used the digital thing so can't help there.

I had short(ish) cycles that were super regular, so after tracking for a few months I knew exactly when ovulation would occur.

Thanks. I sort of wish I hadn’t started it as am getting a bit obsessive! Last month ovulation was on day 13, so I really expected to see a smiley face this morning.

I find the clear blue digitalis to be very accurate. My cycle changes and I can ovulate anywhere from day 12 - 17. You will probably ovulate in the next few days.

Thanks, it’s so tricky. Wish it was the same time every month! I am 41, so that is another worry.

Although my cycle changes by 3-2 days it doesn’t generally go over 28 days, so am surprised not to have had a smiley yet.

Have you been unwell recently? Sometimes my cycle gets delayed by a few days if I’ve been ill.

Hope you get a smiley soon. TTC can be very mentally draining.

Thanks - not to my knowledge. It’s a bit miserable, isn’t it - seeing the blank circle every day gets surprisingly draining.
