Early testing

so I have just taken a FR 6 day sooner and I’m 5 days before AF (why did I do it as I now feel confused ! But we just can’t help it can we 🙈) and it was negative, has anyone every had this and gone onto having a positive or shall I just say I’m out this month x

Depends how many DPO you are.

My luteal phases are around 12 days. If I took it 5 days before my period that would be 7DPO which is far too early. The tests assume everyone has a 14 day luteal phase but not everyone does. I think they should change it to "from 10 DPO" personally.

Even if you have a 14 day luteal phase that's still only like 9 or 10 DPO. I personally get a positive from 9DPO on FRER but others don't get a BFP until later.
