Ovulation strips- line is sometimes fainter

Hey,

My partner and I have begun TTC. We are only on our first cycle of actively TTC however I have been off birth control for over a year. As we have become serious about wanting a baby I have begun testing testing with easy@home strips. I have tested a few times in the past but didn't pay too much attention to the results. I aim to test around the midday/1pm and I am following the instructions of not drinking too much before hand. However, it seems that sometimes the test line is slightly fainter than before.

I am currently CD12 and the past I have seen a darker test line CD14 and onwards, which I am hoping is ovulation, so I haven't expected to seek a peak yet and I understand that ovulation can occur whenever it wants :)

I am just an over thinker and worrier and just wanted some reassurence that it is normal for the lines to vary slightly day to day.

Also, if any one has any tips on how to not become too overwhelmed with all of this please throw them my way. I have quite bad anxiety and wanting a child as much as we do I can already feel myself getting overwhelmed.

Thanks in advance

Holly

Yep, the test line may vary slightly during the cycle - either very light or light or a bit darker. Depends on urine levels.

A positive is only when the test line is darker than or as dark as the control line. That predicts that ovulation will occur soon.

It doesn't confirm that ovulation will or has happened though!

Hi @Hanne17
dont worry the lines will differ due to the amount of LH it picks up and this can change due to fluid you drink etc . Keep testing during middle of you cycle and you should be a pattern and a peak. I have attached a pic of mine this month so you compare yours .
