Hi everyone,

First time posting, ttc#1, I’m 31. I had my implant removed on 28/04/22 after having them for 5 and a half years and been on the pill for around 9 years before that.

the first cycle post removal was 15 days. Last cycle was only 23 days, I’ve attached my Opk chart. This cycle I had some cramping cd5 in the evening. AF had almost finished so I took an Opk cd6 I’ve attached my charts and not sure what is happening! My readings are high every day! I had some cramping on cd7, only started temping this cycle so only have 3 readings.

sorry for the long post thank you in advance! Sending baby dust!

Impossible to say for definite since your cycles seem to still be settling down, but either a weird early ovulation (not sure about that tbh), or.....OPK strips can detect HCG, so maybe also do a pregnancy test?

Flederjo · 13/06/2022 12:26

(but a positive pregnancy test straight after what seemed to be a period is also a bit odd)

I appear not to have helped at all! 😅sorry about that!

curliegirlie · 13/06/2022 12:32

Could be ovulation if the OPK readings get fainter over the course of today, but with your temps also being on the higher side, if you're still getting peak OPK readings today and tomorrow it could be worth a pregnancy test!

Cola91 · 13/06/2022 12:34

Thanks both! I forgot to say I did a pregnancy test on cd6 when I got the high reading as thought it was odd and definitely negative, may try another later. But AF was 5 days and usual flow

Depends how long your cycle is going to be. Ovulation is usually 12-36 hours after a peak so a peak on CD8 for a shorter cycle would be normal (says above it was 23 days last time) so completely normal for peak to be CD8 as ovulation then around CD9/CD10 then 12-14 days LP so yep totally possible and normal on a shorter cycle

allgoodthings84 · 13/06/2022 13:03

A friend of mine conceived on CD5/CD6 and has 23/24 day cycles

Cola91 · 13/06/2022 13:09

thank you, I think partly because the cycle before it peaked quickly (although not as high) and this time has been high for a while threw me off! And made me panic 😂

I know it’s still soon after my implant removal so will see what happens 😊

May I ask which app you’re using ? x

Cola91 · 13/06/2022 17:34

@NSx Premom for the opk’s and fertility friend for my bbt

I don’t even know what bbt is, but I always have such a hard time tracking those OPK I use the clear blue ones but they’re so expensive, thank u

Cola91 · 14/06/2022 07:43

@NSx basal body temperature. I only started this month because my cycles were so different each month after my implant removal. Which is why I only had 3 readings!

I really like the Premom app- just make sure you always take the picture in the same good lighting x

I’ve just downloaded it, it seems good thanks for the heads up.
My cycles are also all over the place so I normally use the Clear Blue OK’s as they tell you exactly when you ovulate but again, they’re so pricey, the strips are much cheaper - what are you using to take your temp? X

Cola91 · 14/06/2022 09:56

Yeah they are, that’s why I thought I’d start with the cheap strips and see!

I just got the easy@home thermometer off Amazon, but any that go to 2 decimal places work 🙂
