Miscarriage when to try again

Hi, ive had a miscarriage around 2 weeks ago. 😔 I've been told different times to try again. My Doctor has suggested give it at least 6 months however my nurse has said try after my next menstrual period. I just don't know what th think is right? Has anyone been in this situation?

How far on were you? 4 weeks is different from, say, 14 weeks.

6 months?!?!
How far along were you? Maybe it was due to that?

If it was fairly early, it's often recommended to just wait one cycle to allow things to reset and for dating purposes.

I'm sorry for your loss. Yes it depends on how far we're you along and what procedure you had. I had a mm at 19 weeks and a d&c. I was told wait for 3 months to let the lining of my womb recover and grow. Actually tried after 5 months as I wanted to wait for test results first - now holding my 7 month old.

I was 5 weeks when I had the miscarriage. The nurse who did my re-scan was happy to say try again after your first cycle. I want to try again soon, maybe it's my way of grieving.

Because that's very early, I'd go on the nurse's advice. Good luck.

Thankyou for your advice. Have you been in a similar situation?

I had an early loss at 6 weeks, didn't wait at all, got pregnant on the next cycle but that turned out to be a weird ectopic/chemical thing, still a mystery.

Then I took one month off and got pregnant straight after the break. Now 33 weeks.

So maybe just give your body and mind one month to heal 😊

@Ninzkm I had a very early miscarriage (about 5 weeks) at the end of last year, once the bleeding had stopped I tracked my cycle as usual & tried again, my period ended up arriving on time but on the next cycle I got pregnant again. I read lots on the internet about apparently being 'more fertile' after a miscarriage, but of course there's absolutely no way to know if that's true & it won't be the case for many. That's just my experience. Try whenever you feel ready, best of luck OP🙌🏼

Yes, lost at 7, 9 and 11 weeks.
This was almost 30 years ago, so advice may have changed, but I gave it a couple of months each time.
Best of luck.
