On which days do you DTD when using OPK?

I've just been reading the instructions on my OPK leaflet and it says to DTD 24hrs after a positive. This doesn't sound right to me?

I was always under the impression that you need to have sex on the days leading up to ovulation so the sperms are waiting in the wings for the egg?

Maybe this is why I've never been pregnant before 🤣

Please could someone advise on the timings because I feel like a right lemon now 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

As soon as you get a peak OPK, sex every other day for a few days and that should cover your fertile window.

Yes, it’s definitely beneficial to DTD when you hit the high. What OPK are you using?

I ovulate on 15th day each month so from days 10-13 we might DTD every other day and days 14 & 15 we definitely do. Some also go for the day after but I’m usually knackered 😉

The month we were successful, we DTD on CD10 and CD12 and had a positive OPK on CD15.

I think it's meant to be in the run up to ov, as you suggest, but as the positive OPK would be 12-24 hours before ovulation, once or twice more, covering the actual day of ovulation, ensures all bases are covered...

In both my previous pregnancies we'd covered ov day but also a day or so before, so no idea which session hit jackpot 🤷‍♀️
