Hi all,

We’ve been TTC for around 10 months, but various timing issues haven’t made this easy..several months work trips have coincided with fertile week. This month I feel like we gave it a good shot (dtd 5x in fertile week including 2 days before static smiley, on that day and day after).
I got static smile Saturday 4th, so could have ovulated either 4th or 5th. Period is due Sunday 19th. Usually I wouldn’t test until it was late, but it’s my husband’s birthday on Friday and Father’s Day Sunday, so feel like if I am pregnant (🤞🏼🤞🏼), either of those would be lovely days to tell him.
I’ve bought some CB ultra early digital which claim you can test from 6 days before missed period - so this Wednesday onwards, but I’m scared of doing this in case result isn’t accurate, and/or I end up getting my hopes up for something that doesn’t last.
Any advice? Anyone tested before a missed period and wished they hadn’t? Or glad that they did?

This TWW is torturous.

thanks xx

I think I would jump out of bed early Sunday and do it then.
too early and you are forever wondering if it’s negative because you tested too early so still drive yourself mad.
good luck!

I would agree, do it on the Sunday morning, but in the meantime definitely also get a FRER!!! So that you have a good, sensitive pink dye test in case the clearblue is dodgy.

@TooHotTooGreedy good call, that’s exactly what I’m worried about - also that way I can’t ruin his birthday by being miserable over a BFN! @Flederjo i heard blue dye ones aren’t as reliable, does that include the CB digital too? Maybe I’ll get a FRER as well in that case and I can dip them both for double coverage!
thank you both!

I believe the CB Digi is less sensitive than a FRER, but it is nice to have those words appear on the little screen!!! Especially for men who don't know immediately what two lines mean 🤣
So I'd do a FRER first, then if there's a decent line, do the digital. If you're doing multiple tests obviously pee into a little pot first and dip, so you're using the same urine for both!
