Has Anyone done a CB 3-4 days before AF is due, got a - but then on day AF is due, got a +?

I'm new to the Conception topic. Trying for baby #2 and it's not happening. AF due tmrw, did an early PG test on Fri and Sat and both -. (Sorry, not very familiar with the abbrv on this thread). Just wondered if anyone had done the same and then got a +. Clutching at straws? Meeeee?!
Can't talk to anyone else about this. I feel desperate, but playing it cool with everyone.

I haven't but believe its possible - I don't think CLearblue pick up the hcg until it is higher than some tests so the HCG levels might not be high enough yet. Can you do a first reponse test (when I am clutching at straws, as I frequently am ttc no 2!) I do a first response and then I knwo a negative is a negative beacuae they can detect quite a low level of hcg.

Good luck !

Afraid not no - I'm afraid I got my Clearblue digi positive 3 days early. But we are all different, hope you're lucky!

Thank you both. Unbelievable but can feel the AF cramping as I type this. Will be much more patient next time and WAIT.

How early did you test (and get the neg) before your AF was due - do realise this was quite a while ago now...

So NappyChange, do you wanna tell us the final result?
For me AF due Thurs 17th Jan, BFN on 15th Jan but BFP on the 18th Jan.
You never know.

IMHO it's a bit of a waste of money to do early testing, because the longer you wait the less chance you'll have a false negative result, because your HcG levels will be higher. I can test on Mon (28/1) and I can't wait to do it (unless AF turns up of course), but I know it would be useless to do it now!
By the way, when ttc with ds (7y ago), there were no tests on the market that gave BFP's before your AF was due.
Oh and different brands have different results. With DD was convinced I was pregnant and on day AF was due used a Predictor that gave me a BFN, just knew it was wrong, so went out bought an second test (this time clearblue) and had a very BFP. And that with only about 2 hours between the different tests!
