Hi there I'm new to this so I went for my 12 week scan to find out there was no heartbeat it had stopped at 9+5 had missed miscarriage had medication to end pregnancy which wad horrendous glad I sent my partner out felt just like labor but no baby to cuddle at the end of it 2 weeks later still bleeding losing clots and still getting positive pregnancy test so went back for scan there was still tissue left inside so had d&c week later 1 week agter d&c finally getting negative test so know d&c was successful anyway that was 11 days ago probably not very sensible of me but because I'd stopped bleeding me and hubby dtd about 5 times since d&c (I'm 40 and don't feel like I have time to waste) but have now started bleeding again which I know is normal after d&c but the advice I'm looking for is could I have even been able to conceive while still bleeding am I trying to early or could I already be pregnant how soon would it show on the test and could I even conceive this early suppose I'm just looking for some positive feedback from mums out there who are around same age as me who have gone on to have successful pregnicies after d&c sorry for the long story lol

Hi OP, I'm really sorry you had to go through all that. I doubt you are already pregnant only 1 week after a d&c, to be honest, but obviously the only way to know is to do a test. Bodies are weird!
Please also consider using a bit of punctuation in your posts - it's sometimes hard otherwise to extract the information to then be able to answer you! 🤗😊

Thanks for replying flederjo
I did think it could be a bit early to be pregnant, when do you think would be the best time to do a test?
Excuse the lack of punctuation in last message think I was just rushing writing it before I forgot wat I wanted to say.

No problem! I think you'd be better off seeing what your cycle is doing to be honest. So...tracking ovulation using OPKs or BBT (or physical signs like EGCM). A miscarriage can mess with our cycles and systems and, whereas some women just "reset" straightaway, for others it takes a bit longer.

Otherwise it's kind of impossible to even know when to bother testing. 😊

Along the tracking you could always just test once a week, whilst things are settling down?

Sorry, EWCM - egg white cervical mucus. Not EGCM! 😆

That's great thanks so much for taking the time to reply, think I'll take your advice, just gonna relax and not stress about it suppose my body will get pregnant if and when it is ready.

I'd suggest to start using OPK and/or BNT if you're not already. Good luck 🤞

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage. What's making you think you're pregnant?
