False positive or indent?

It’s no way I can be pregnant because I just had a period on the 24th of May, moderate and kind of short then I spotted on the 2nd of June and I have never experienced spotting in my life. Something told me to take a pregnancy test this morning and it’s positive? It was stark white at first then I looked again about an hour later and it looked positive.

Also I had unprotected sex about 5 or 6 days ago but it’s still so early. I am currently not trying for a baby and left my partner yesterday. I will test again tomorrow. I’m so nervous

That looks like a faint line to me. I’m no expert though!

Because it has colour @MommaBee95, I'd say it's a line but early - but 8/9/10DPO. You can have a little bleed and be pregnant. It's often talked about on this forum.

Hard to say since we don't know your cycle length or ovulation date!
What CD did you test on?

I think I may just have a dodgy batch because I only had sex once during my fertile window which would make me 5dpo, 6dpo today, it’s not making any sense, I only tested because I got a strange urge to.

^ could it be that you ovulated earlier than you thought? If you only had sex 5 days ago, that would not make much sense IMHO.

It’s not making any sense at all! I just think it was a faulty test. I only had SEX once since May 12th and had a period on the 24th. @Bundaberg84

After the 12th of May the last time I had sex was the 4th of June. @Bundaberg84

I mean it's possible you got pregnant - if you just at that time ovulated and the egg was possibly already in the tube 'waiting'. Which would still mean it's very early for a positive but I guess weirder things have happened. That is unless your last period wasn't a period.

It’s so strange and I can’t wrap my head around it, I’ve had two previous healthy pregnancies and always found out by missing my period. I did spot for 2 days 5 days after my period ended which I found very very odd but pregnancy never crossed my mind cos I had literally finished a period.
I took a test the night before I got this positive and it was negative. It’s so confusing! If I was pregnant from my previous cycle id be nearly 6 weeks and that line is way too faint for a pregnancy at 6 weeks , I’m re testing today but I really think it’s a glitch in the test. @Bundaberg84

I would take that as a positive to be honest since it has colour. Maybe take another test to double check tomorrow. Hope you get the answer you want xx

Adjusted the contrast a bit

FRERs are really dodgy these days with very obvious indent lines before you even use them but having said that, there is a lot of colour in that. Is it in date?

@NameChang3d yeah it is. It’s weird.

Don't want to worry you but someone said recently that low levels of HCG can be an indicator of ovarian cancer. Might be worth a GP appointment in any case.

I'm too tired to work out your dates and whether pregnancy is possible.

These have a craziness indents I’ve ever seen. They literally look like faint positives

OP there is a tiny faint line on this.

Also you need to stop taking the tests apart they are then classed as inconclusive

I take it apart after the time to read it has passed by.
