I came off the pill last June after 17 years. My periods only came back in March, but now with BBT and CB OPKs I can tell I am ovulating and have a 28-30 day cycle. First month TTC this month. However, I’m worried as my periods are SO light and dark dark brown. Never red. Like I couldn’t use a tampon, only a pantyliner with dark brown spotting for 3-5 days each month and mainly when I wipe. Is this a sign my lining isn’t going to be thick enough to conceive? Should I ask for some tests at the GP / willing to pay for private tests.

I had the same concerns when we started ttc with barely there periods. I had also been on the pill for most of my adult life.

Due to my age (37 then) I knew we would need to seek help ttc if we had not managed after 6 months so decided to wait till then before I mentioned it to anyone.
Thankfully we had no issues at all, and conceived month 2 and month 1 with DCs

Thanks so much @Tivadivaz that’s put my mind at ease for now :) I’ll be 35 by the time we’ve been TTC for 6 months so I think they will do some tests at that point, so onto cycle 2 next month and hopefully it’s not an indication of anything!
