PCOS- anyone TTc WITHOUT intervention?

I was diagnosed with PCOS in November, and have only had on AF since coming off the pill in May.

I have put on weight rapidly, but am not overweight (yet!) and doing lots of exercise/eating healthily etc to keep in shape, and try to loose the excess.

My Dh and I have been Bd'ing every 3 days since nov and my diagnosis.

I've been told we have to be TTC for 12 months before a referral, and then its only to be given drugs which I'm not really wanting to do.

Any advice greatly received!

As you have a PCOS diagnosis you should be referred now to a subfertility unit rather than in a year's time. The unit would want to see you sooner rather than later. Who advised you of ttc for 12 months before referral - your GP?.

Clomid is usually given to women with PCOS as a first line of treatment but it does not work for everyone. Other treatment options for PCOS are also looked at.

Have you looked at Verity's website - www.verity-pcos.org.uk. This is a good website for any woman with PCOS to look at.

Thanks atilla, I've a;ready checked that out.

I've started reflexology, also really working my ass off to kep feet, and changed my diet too.

Not up for Clomid to be totally honest, or any intervention. I'm not a weirdo or anything, It's just a personal choice.

GP said the 12 month thing and was a complete bitch about it too. I was crying and she said it. Then I said- so thats it then? and she said. Yes- sorry. Now if theres nothing else.....
