Eptopic or too early?

Hi everyone, according to my last period i should be 7 weeks tomorrow, at 5+2 days i had a light bleed when i wiped only once and a niggling pain on my right side but not severe. I went to the EPU who did a blood test and the HCG came back at 715 because of the niggly pain they did an internal scan which 'they thought' they could see something next to my right ovary, but they wasn't sure at all. 2 days later i went for another blood test which came back at 626. I spotted with very light pink only when i wiped for a few days on and off. They suspected eptopic and was told that there was a corpeius cyst on my right ovary and something tiny next to that also, the sonographer never told me this she only said there maybe something next to my right ovary which i found very strange, so there both telling me different things. That evening i went up to the gynaecology ward as when i wiped there was blood again, they checked me out and told me to go and have my bloods done 2 days later. I went for my bloods done on the Saturday to which my levels were back up to 960, 2 days later they went up to 1600 and i had a scan to which it was the same sonographer, she was umming and arring and said she could maybe see a sound wave in my uterus but couldn't see my right ovary very well and was sure she could see something next to it last time, 2 days later i went to have my bloods done again which were at 2300. They then rang me and said they wanted to see me as 'they should be seeing something by now' what if its to early and my dates are wrong or i ovulated or implanted late?? Im getting white discharge now and again which i keep thinking is blood so i rush to the loo and its just full white discharge. Would i get this if it was eptopic? I'm so worried they are not 100% sure and will mis-diagnose me. Has anyone been through something similar so desperate for a happy ending :(

I think the worrying thing is that your HCG levels aren't rising as they should, and coupled with the bleeding it should be monitored. From a level of 2000 HCG they should also see something on a scan.

(It's eCtopic, just as a side note 😉)

I hope it works out well for you, but do keep getting checked 😊

I'm sorry you're in a limbo. I really hope it's not an ectopic but it sounds too familiar to me as it happened to me last year. Hcg levels didn't rise properly and nothing to be seen. It doesn't really matter if they or you calculated conception wrong - it's the hcg levels that are important to determine if there should ne something visible or not. I keep all fingers crossed for you. Please keep us posted!❤️

I’m afraid it sounds familiar to me too. I was monitored for about 2 weeks and then needed surgery.

@LollyJ12 didn't want to read and run.

Please keep us updated, I went through a similar thing. Sadly I ended up being treat with methotrexate as had slow rising hormones and no sign of anything in the womb. I am still going through this at the moment and back and forth to hospital. If it does come to this, please let me know as I know how isolating it is going through it.

It does sound as though it could be ectopic or pregnancy unknown location but I am not a doctor. I only know from experience. I lived in absolute fear that I would need surgery but there are other ways such as monitoring or methotrexate. I was given the option to wait it out or receive the injection, which I chose as the anxiety of waiting and perhaps needing surgery was too much. If you need to talk I am here 🙂

Miracles do happen though and we can only hope.

Thanks for all your comments ladies, can be a daunting unknown lonely wait. @sophxx1 sorry to hear your going through this too, I'm currently sat in hospital as I type my levels were at 2300 last Wednesday and are at 5000 today so there not going up as they would like. There going to book me in for a scan tomorrow and if there's nothing they can see there going to go down the route of methotrexate or wait. I think I will probably go with methotrexate too just because I don't want to wait and something go seriously wrong. So sorry your going through this to its not nice and I didn't even know of this situation until now (pregnancy of unknown location) if you need a chat I'm always open, thinking of you 😊

@LollyJ12 it feels so isolating and lonely. As lovely as the medical staff can be it is all so normal to them so we don't always get the support we need.

If you do get methotrexate it's not as bad as people say. I haven't had any severe pain, bleeding is manageable. The worst part is tiredness, but I think it's just your body depleting the vitamins. Make sure to avoid any foods high in folic acid and any supplements with it in. Take the time to enjoy fast food and chocolate and plenty of naps. Please do let me know what you decide 💕
