So we have been ttc for 14 months now, 1 miscarriage in November 😭
Aunt flow is 2 days late, I'm so nauseous, boobs have darkened around the nip and I swear they are larger than normal. I've had cramping and twinging for 3 days. Only just tried a test cz I'm too scared to get a BFN.
Tell me...am I seeing things or is this the faintest line u have ever seen 😂🤞

I think I see a faint line but I would get a better test today as if you are two days late I'd expect it to be darker. A first response will give you more clarity. I hope it's the result you want :)

Sexnotgender · 05/06/2022 06:10

I see something.

daisychainsandrainbows · 05/06/2022 06:12

I can't see anything but the photo quality is not great.

Wait another day or two if you can and try a FRER using FMU. Fingers crossed!

maythe4thbewithme · 05/06/2022 06:45

Yes but if your period is late I'd expect a darker line than that

Agree with this

Maybebabi · 05/06/2022 07:05

Yep I'll be getting a FRER tomorrow. It took awhile on my 2nd child for it to show up properly. Think that's why it's doing my head in 🙄
Thanks ladies 👌

Could be faint at 2 days late due to ovulating late / implanting later in your cycle, defo try a better test bit the line is defo there! ❤

rainbowstardrops · 05/06/2022 08:12

I can definitely see a very faint line. Good luck 🤞🏻

Holdontowhat · 05/06/2022 08:17

I can definitely see a line, I wouldn't even call that faint! Fingers crossed for you

So a little update that might help one of you in the future 🤷🏻‍♀️
I did an FRER yesterday with FMU and it was a BFN 🙄 so I called the gp because I wasn't convinced, my symtoms aren't going away and I'm now 5 days late. The gp said that early pregnancy tests sometimes give false negative results if you are past the day of your period because they are specifically looking for the very early trace hormone whereas 'normal' or 'cheap' tests will only be a BFP if there is a viable pregnancy in the womb. So tomorrow I will do a cheapy test and see what it says 🤞😁

I’m not a doctor but that doesn’t sound right to me. Pregnancy tests are measuring HCG and early tests just need to measure a smaller amount of it before they show. There is such a thing as too much HCG that the test gets overwhelmed but that wouldn’t happen at 5 days late. It can also be counteracted by adding a some water to the urine sample.

Here is an example of my tests done with the same urine but with adding water. I was around 5-6 weeks from memory. That pregnancy is now nearly 2.

Hopefully you get some answers soon.

I did question her when she told me that as I didn't have this trouble with my other 2 babies.

Maybe she was having a bad day 😂 ill try the water thing...thanks for that 😁

GPs often don't tend to know much about pregnancy as it's all dealt with by midwives and I don't think there's much they can really do to help you at this point.

I understand the hook effect but you're not even 5 weeks past your LMP yet, a lot of women don't even realise they're pregnant at this stage so I really can't think any HCG levels would be so high at this point. Certainly I still got a blazing positive at 6 weeks in my pregnancy on FRER.

At this point I'd assume you're not pregnancy and you've either ovulated late or have had a weird cycle but fingers crossed for you.
