My TTC cycle lengths starting from the cycle before cycle 1 were: 37 days, 41, 50, 45 and this one would have been 36/37 days.
I have a 14-15 day luteal phase.
I think I may have ov'ed around CD25/26 on cycle1 - but being a newbie I thought all the fertile signs (sore nips, EWCM etc) were PG symptoms.
Cycle 2 - 50 days I think I ov'ed on CD35, even though I got a positive OPK on CD21. I had some brown spotting from 11dpo which could have been a CP but got BFNs.
Cycle 3 - 45 days, was doing acupuncture this cycle. I got a positive opk on CD20, but no temp rise and kept getting patches of EWCM all throughout cycle so I think this one was anovulatory.
Cycle 4 - Ov'ed on CD23, clear temp rise, all EWCM stopped BFP on CD33!
What I found important, is to keep BD'ing even though you think you've ov'ed until you've had at least 5 days of no EWCM. Because I definitely had a 'false' ov day on CD21, the next day I was dry so thought we'd done our best. I only came across more EWCM (a lot more) when checking my cervix position on CD22. It was really high, open and there was loads of EWCM. BD'ed that night and the next morning (much to my surprise!). And that was that!
I've read posts on these boards where women who've been diagnosed with severe PCOS and have told they will not be able to conceive without assistance have gone on to conceive naturally within a couple of months. I really think it's all about believing in your body. You may be having a bad cycle now (and god, the tears I've shed during my low points...), but the next one has just as much chance of being a good egg-hatching one.
