Unconvincing bfp

I first tested almost two weeks ago after a bit of a bleed and just outside the time frame it came up positive. Used the second test and the same happened so I resolved to test again after a few days.

Two weeks later I’m still getting the faintest squinters and I’m starting to get concerned because I’d be 6 weeks now and surely would be getting a big blazing line by now.

For context, I feel pregnant. Nausea, breast pain, hot flashes and lower abdomen aches. The works. Dr also thinks I’m pregnant and has booked me in for bloods.

I guess I’m just looking for reassurance and positive experiences if there are any? Thanks!

That does sound strange. The best thing would be to have your blood HCG level checked twice, the second time after 48 hours to see if it is doubling. Or maybe a scan to rule out ectopic?

@Regenbogen22 have my first blood test booked next Wednesday, hoping for good news!

I had this, negative tests for weeks, it was around 7/8 weeks that I finally got a bfp. Fingers crossed its the same.for you op

How much outside of the timeframe did the line show up?

CTommo · 02/06/2022 17:08

@NotAScoobyToBeSeen thank you that gives me some real hope there’ll be a positive outcome!! The faint lines are driving me insane.

@Bundaberg84 I can’t remember with the first couple, think it was something like 10 minutes but my recent ones are taking a couple of minutes to show me any kind of line.

Between now and then do watch out for any symptoms of an ectopic - one sided pain, bleeding, shoulder tip pain etc. The faint tests imply low HCG which can be related.

For anyone interested - another test today with smu and it’s still faint but much clearer than the lines I was getting on one step tests. Has made me a little less anxious for the upcoming blood test!
