Is anyone not tracking and using apps for trying? I feel this month has really knocked me and I deleted all my apps and haven't ordered OPKs. My cycle seems like clockwork so thinking that maybe tracking is no longer helping me as I can get a little obsessed over it, taking temperatures every morning, OPKs, logging symptoms etc. My partner is so supportive and is more than happy to DTD more to try make sure we catch the fertile time without checking an app etc but I'm so worried at the same time about not tracking for some reason.

lj2022 · 06/06/2022 11:32

@HeathenPlayingHouse I am so sorry to hear your appointment never went as well as you would have liked. I think the weight thing is very unfair it just puts an added stress on to you at a time to relax. Really hoping the progesterone helps though with triggering a period and maybe your body will start to regulate. Got everything crossed that it goes well I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for you

Dreamingof3 · 06/06/2022 12:01

@HeathenPlayingHouse oh god it's ridiculous how much they put down to weight 🤦‍♀️ even if you were overweight, that would potentially be a symptom of an underlying issue, not the cause 🙈

I hope the progesterone works for you.

@lj2022 I would say that if your cycles are regular and you know roughly when you ovulate, then maybe taking a break from tracking everything would be a good idea. I'd like to do that but my periods still aren't regular so I'd most likely miss ovulation all the time 😅

dearhummingbirds · 06/06/2022 12:07

@WingingIt09
I do wonder if you’re just not testing well in the morning. Does seem to be a pattern. Hopefully AF doesn’t turn up.

@lj2022
I’m going to try the first few months without doing any tracking. Just to see what happens. We quite regularly DTD anyway and I think I roughly know my cycle.

WingingIt09 · 06/06/2022 12:09

@dearhummingbirds surely if I just wasn't testing well in the morning it wouldn't be getting fainter when comparing morning ones though? Im pretty convinced it's a chemical pregnancy at this stage unfortunately.

LucyLoopyLu · 06/06/2022 12:14

@WingingIt09 so sorry. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, really hope it will turn out OK for you. Are you going to keep testing?

@HeathenPlayingHouse sounds very frustrating about your appointment but at least you have the progesterone and also getting further tests. I guess weight is the easiest thing they can point to but it's not an easy or quick fix to lose weight, just so they can rule that out as a cause.

WingingIt09 · 06/06/2022 12:44

@LucyLoopyLu I have one FRER left, which I will probably use on Wednesday if I haven't started bleeding. Also have a digital, which I was planning to do on Thursday at 5 weeks but won't bother if I start bleeding.

HeathenPlayingHouse · 06/06/2022 13:47

Thanks everyone ❤️

I knew it was going to come up, and I totally understand why because I do need to lose weight. I just get so irritated when it's the main focus.

Heavy periods? Lose weight.
Back pain? Lose weight.
Your head's about to fall off? Lose weight.

Back to Keto for me since it's the only diet that helps- high on meat and dairy, low on carbs, perfect for grocery shopping in a cost of living crisis 😂

Dreamingof3 · 06/06/2022 13:55

@HeathenPlayingHouse I'm just starting low carb too...everything I need is so expensive 🙈 I had to follow the diet for gestational diabetes before so will most likely need to again. Just need to get back into the habit! Ended that pregnancy the same weight I started so hoping to do the same again or lose some! (Obviously need to get pregnant first too!)

Theawkwardblonde · 06/06/2022 14:13

So caved and used my last cheapie this morning. Not home till end of week and AF due tomorrow. Think it's slightly darker than the previous ones and came up within a minute so don't think it's an evap. Having a bit of a wobble bit DH seems happy enough of it was positive. Will have to wait till the weekend to get a frer!

Preparing to TTC in 2022 part 4 - where the BFPs keep on coming!
HeathenPlayingHouse · 06/06/2022 14:15

@Dreamingof3 Low carb buddies 👍

@Theawkwardblonde That looks great, can't wait to see the FRER!

Theawkwardblonde · 06/06/2022 14:16

@HeathenPlayingHouse thanks. In tentatively hopeful as I have a history of MCs.
Just read your update. I hate that they always use weight as a solution to everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

DesertSnow · 06/06/2022 14:57

I'm sorry to hear @WingingIt09. Keeping everything crossed for you.

@HeathenPlayingHouse That sounds like rather an infuriating appointment, but at least with the progestrone there's some positive steps too.

@Theawkwardblonde Looking good! Keep us updated!

DesertSnow · 06/06/2022 15:00

@Tropicana1 thank you for sharing your experience with endometriosis and having a baby. I've head from a few people that it can help, and the doctors keep saying to me that I should just push forward and try to conceive pronto (because it's that straightforward 🙄)

Having a baby definitely helped with my mum's endo, when she eventually conceived, but it took her a while to get there... I am concerned that endo means the odds aren't in our favour, but of course it does happen so will try to stay positive.

newjourney21 · 06/06/2022 16:22

Dreamingof3 · 05/06/2022 22:05

@LucyLoopyLu I think I'm.due on 14th! Not sure when to test yet

@newjourney21 I've been so tired the last couple of days but keep telling myself it's just because it's been a full on weekend 🤣 trying to keep busy but time is dragging!

Haha I wish I had a full on weekend but done a lot of chilling and still super tired Confused our bodies are strange lol. I'm feeling so bloated today, like uncomfortably which is really weird for me. Any more symptoms for you today?

Sapphire91 · 06/06/2022 17:55

Could I join this thread please!
I'm 30 and actively TTC, on my 5th cycle since my miscarriage. Hoping to get a BFP for baby #1 soon!
Currently on 8dpo and trying to steer clear of testing until the weekend - I do have 5 FRER tests ready and waiting to be used though!

Dreamingof3 · 06/06/2022 19:51

@Theawkwardblonde that looks good to me!

@newjourney21 nothing really today although my skin is super greasy 🤢

Tropicana1 · 06/06/2022 21:11

@Theawkwardblonde looks good!

@HeathenPlayingHouse glad you've got some progesterone to start with at least to try and help your cycles become more regular.

OCM19 · 06/06/2022 21:39

@WingingIt09 sorry to hear your lines aren’t progressing. I can only imagine how stressful this is for you. How are you, are you manage to get rest? I am keeping everything crossed for you x

WingingIt09 · 07/06/2022 08:21

I've started bleeding this morning so that's a confirmed loss for me. I'm going to take myself off MN for a little while so if someone else could take over the list to keep this thread going that would be great? Think the one below is the most up to date x
