@Dreamingof3 I think the lines look fine! I would book an early scan if you're anxious. I'm booking one for 8 weeks ☺️

Dreamingof3 · 17/07/2022 11:25

@Theawkwardblonde going to see if I can convince my other half

LucyLoopyLu · 17/07/2022 12:00

@Dreamingof3 looks darker to me too but if an early scan would help put your mind at rest might as well book one! I didn't really know much about them until recently but would be tempted myself

@Tropicana1 hoping it is lucky number 4 for both of us 🤞 at the very least lots of BD 🤣 and thankfully when it's a bit cooler.
We are quite lucky though, it doesn't get that hot where we live - 28 today, 34 Mon, 36 Tues on the forecast although I will be surprised if we get to 36

Dreamingof3 · 17/07/2022 12:06

@LucyLoopyLu I wanted to book one in my last pregnancy but he said it was pointless as by the time we have that it's not long til the 12 week 😑

We are predicted 39 Monday and Tuesday, I'm going to melt 🥵

Tropicana1 · 17/07/2022 13:37

@LucyLoopyLu this is our month! Haha I have 27 today as well and I'm melting 😂 Apparently 39 for us tomorrow 😭 we're going on holiday in 2 weeks so will be away drinking in the sunshine over ovulation If I ovulate late again

DesertSnow · 17/07/2022 18:11

@Dreamingof3 line definitely looks to be getting stronger, but an early scan might be a good idea to put your mind at rest. This may be a dumb question, but you said your OH was worried about twins - is that because if it's a strong line early on it could indicate twins? Or was it unrelated?

@WingingIt09 frustrating that he got drunk but it sounds like you've covered it!

Sorry you've got Covid @BritishDesiGirl, hope you're not too rough with it.

Sorry AF arrived @Tropicana1, hope you're ok.

@LucyLoopyLu Cycle 4 is early days, but great that your OH is more on board with actively trying, good mindset for you both to be in.

@Gizzy93 I can definitely see something, let us know how it looks tomorrow.

The forecast is mad isn't it? Good luck to anyone trying over the next few days. I'm OPKing but I know you're supposed to not drink too much and hold your wee in for a bit - kind of ignoring those rules given the circumstances, hope it doesn't affect results.

BritishDesiGirl · 17/07/2022 18:58

Thank you everyone for your kind messages.

I'm not too bad. Evenings are worse, achy bones.

Dreamingof3 · 17/07/2022 19:57

@DesertSnow I think it was because of the 2-3 digital weeks one, and a comment my friend made about twins 😅

lj2022 · 17/07/2022 21:09

@Dreamingof3 massive congratulations sorry I honestly can't remember if I've congratulated you or not as I've not really been on here.

How's everyone getting on ? I think I'm approaching ovulation this week but not looking at apps and not trying this month. It's quite nice switching off but feel it's hard to completely switch off when aware of cycles and CM. Hope everyone in their TWW is holding up okay

HeathenPlayingHouse · 17/07/2022 21:26

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you're all coping in this heat!

Day 4 of my super early AF, and I can't really complain- I haven't even needed the Tranexamic acid yet. Up to now, me and OH have been somewhat relaxed about TTC, given that my crazy cycles were interrupting us so often anyway.

However, I jokingly pointed out to OH that if we managed to get pregnant in the next 3 months, then he could have next Christmas off work (we do Shared Parental Leave). We laughed about it, but needless to say, the prospect of his first Christmas off work in a decade got him right in the mood 😂

So now I'm awaiting my Amazon delivery tomorrow- inositol tablets (I seem to see better results with pills than powder), and Preseed!

LucyLoopyLu · 17/07/2022 21:28

@DesertSnow yeah it's good to be on the same page with it. Before we started trying I said I was a bit stressed about getting on with having kids, as we delayed bevause of covid stuff. I had already done loads of research about ttc and pregnancy etc and he asked whether he should start looking at stuff as well or what he should do. I just said leave it to me for now as he had other stuff on his plate! And since I had my coil out I have just been tracking without really mentioning it to him as I didn't want it to be stressful at least at first. But if we get to six months with no joy I think I will speak to him about trying something like SMEP. He is already fit and has a healthy diet, doesn't drink much etc so not much else for him to change.

I do think that the people who get pregnant straight away when trying are more likely to mention it, and if you try for a while but maybe less than a year then it probably doesn't come up in conversation. So that's why when it takes a while it's disheartening

Gizzy93 · 17/07/2022 21:56

Must have been another indents. There's another line this morning but looks grey so pretty sure they're indents.

I'm 12DPO so I'm out this cycle.

EdinburghGirl1 · 18/07/2022 07:06

Sorry to hear that @Gizzy93

PinkButtercups · 18/07/2022 07:38

Dreamingof3 · 17/07/2022 07:06

I'm in the panic stages, I forgot how nerve-wracking early pregnancy is. Also not helped by the fact I had lots of tests so been doing them all the time 😅

My frer this morning doesn't seem any different from the one I did on Friday 🥴 but they are quite dark so maybe I just wouldn't see it? What do we think? Top is Friday, bottom is today

Congratulations!

What DPO did you take the test?

Mine were strong like that and guess what, twins 🤣.

I got an early scan that's where I found out at 8 weeks!

Dreamingof3 · 18/07/2022 09:34

@PinkButtercups so the first responses were 13 (day period due) and 15dpo and the digital was 14 I think? Do you have stronger symptoms with it being twins?

I'm technically 5 weeks today but I think im actually 4 or 5 days behind that based on my lh/bbt. Don't really have symptoms, couple of waves of nausea and a bit tired 🤷‍♀️

No not really. I had sore boobs but that was it. Oh and sciatica since 6 weeks in my lower left but cheek 🤦🏻‍♀️ but that's seems to be wearing off 🤞🏼. Sick twice. I'm 16+2 now and still no symptoms.

Sciatica 😥
I had horrendous sickness in my last pregnancy (actually was hardly sick just felt it 24/7!) I'd love to not have that this time....but also feel reassured by having it 🤣

Theawkwardblonde · 18/07/2022 09:50

@Dreamingof3 if you're 5 weeks today you're just a few behind me, I'm 5 + 4 I think.
Weirdly have no symptoms which has me a bit concerned. I was tired too but other than that nothing. With my first I had sickness from the get go right up until labour.

Dreamingof3 · 18/07/2022 10:05

@Theawkwardblonde I think I'll stick with 5 weeks as its further 🤣 but i expect to be put back a few days at the dating scan.
It's so hard not to worry isn't it. Just Tey and make the most of feeling ok because it could all change!

HeathenPlayingHouse · 18/07/2022 10:46

Sorry to hear that @Gizzy93 ❤️

Metformin is definitely having an effect- weigh in day today and I lost 6lbs this week 🎉 I know it's always a higher figure on the first week, but this is while on AF and cutting back on bad carbs rather than cutting them out completely!

HippeePrincess · 18/07/2022 11:32

Congratulations @Dreamingof3 ! Also possibly someone else too as I've skimmed through this morning.

Sorry your other half was an asshat @WingingIt09 , men!

Can't remember who asked where the graduates are chatting, I'm not really anywhere, there isn't a specific thread, I guess there's a due date thread but I/m a bit MIA.

Not going to lie I am really struggling in the heat (glad I am not heavily pregnant), and working full time in a demanding job on my feet most of the day. In addition, a fair bit of nausea until about a week ago though not really vomiting and feeling completely exhausted, I've been in bed before 8.30/9pm regularly so haven't been posting anywhere.

I've had my NHS scan date through for a week tomorrow at what should be 12 weeks 2 days so that's not too bad as I've had them quite late before, can't wait for that as I had the tiniest amount of spotting the other week and a fair bit of cramping the whole way through.

Still debating when to tell my kiddo's.

Dreamingof3 · 18/07/2022 11:53

@HippeePrincess soo hot isn't it. I've been struggling to sleep but also super tired so not coping well 🤣

I think we've decided we won't tell the kids til our 12 week scan (seems likely forever atm!) Just because they're a bit young to understand if something we're to go wrong.

HippeePrincess · 18/07/2022 12:16

Mine are old enough to understand (7 and almost 11) but they’d be upset, and I don’t want them telling their dad or anyone else til I’m ready. 12 weeks was the absolute minimum for me, I’m showing a bit but if I can hide it I’m considering waiting til 16 weeks 😅 and taking them to a scan to find out the sex but think that may be a lot to take in. Don’t think I can hide it past then! Luckily I’m quite chubby to start with this time so mainly just look fat unless you know 😂

🤣🤣 this is absolutely me, hoping my fat will hide it for as long as possible. We'd considered waiting until 16 weeks to tell family but we have a bug family holiday before that so I think I'd feel happier if they knew for that. But I think we'll do a gender scan, get one of the little reveal things and do that just us 4 to get the girls involved

AliceS88 · 18/07/2022 16:18

Hi ladies,

Sorry I don't manage to keep up with this thread! Doesn't help that I can't get the app to work properly and rarely use a proper computer.
CD25 for me today, I have a cycle between 25-27 days. Not tested yet but don't have any symptoms and I also have back cramps so think AF is on it's way. I don't usually get back cramps before AF but do get strong stomach cramps but I am not reading into this.
Hope everyone is okay in this heat, it's certainly very hot in my work at the moment!
