@OCM19 congratulations!!! It's always so much more reassuring when it shows up on a digital I think.

@DesertSnow thanks..although I think it's deffo the bug.

6dpo..nothing much more happening than that. Sickness bug has decimated our house so very much keeping us busy. Can't help but think if there was a little bean in there it would have no chance sticking with how much I've been Ill 🤦🏼‍♀️

LaVitesse2022 · 02/07/2022 08:37

@helly013 perfect timing for testing! Are you also trying for your first? I feel like my week is going to drag on, not much happening apart from the usual with work and running.

helly013 · 02/07/2022 08:43

@LaVitesse2022 were trying for #2 my son is 17 months. So will hopefully have just over 2 years age gap.

LaVitesse2022 · 02/07/2022 09:44

@helly013 super! I have 2 friends who also had their 2 children with 2 year gap so they could go through nappies just once 😄 How are you feeling compared to first time TTC?

helly013 · 02/07/2022 10:34

@LaVitesse2022 so much more relaxed this time. First time I googled everything with very fine detail! I'm also now self employed so don't have to worry about pregnancy symptoms at work. Although I was working from through a lot of the pregnancy but was in the office for a couple of months. My symptoms weren't too bad just a couple of weeks of nausea.
I also think the distraction of a toddler helps. You don't have time to sit and overthink everything. I had an early miscarriage before falling pregnant with my son so also had that worry hanging over me. Having had a successful pregnancy it makes me feel more relaxed. X

LaVitesse2022 · 02/07/2022 11:01

@helly013 that makes a lot of sense. It's having that confirmation that your body works, isn't it, that us first timers don't have yet. I'm sure a toddler is distraction enough 😅 x

lj2022 · 02/07/2022 11:04

@OCM19 I'm Due to test soon I caved and tested this morning but only 9dpo but I'm feeling quite nauseous this morning and never had that before just had my breakfast and feel a little sick. How are you feeling any early symptoms to go with your BFP?

@hevann oh got fingers crossed for you still as some people don't get BFP until 14DPO. I feel a little "off" this month too but trying not to get my hopes up. It's hard isn't it

Nyxxie · 02/07/2022 15:17

@OCM19 congratulations!!

LauraA31 · 02/07/2022 15:54

Hello all! I hope it is ok for me to join on this thread!

I am new to the forum but like that this is here to support all through! Me and the boyfriend have decided to TTC and this is our second full cycle, this will be both our first baby!
I am new to everything but trying super hard to familiarise myself with all the bits I need to know!

Im CD3 and my AF is slowing considerably, I have bought ovulation tests and working alongside the app ‘Flo’ and ‘Premom’.
Keeping everything crossed this will be our month, I had such high hopes for last month but it wasn’t to be! According to the apps I should be testing on 26th this month which will be 12DPO and the day AF is next due!

Fingers crossed for everybody and congratulations to everybody who has had their positive!❤️

WingingIt09 · 02/07/2022 17:52

@OCM19 congratulations!

Still no AF here, now 1 day late. BFN this morning on a cheapie (didn't want to waste a FRER as I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant). If not arrived by tomorrow morning then I'll test again with FMU. Think my body is just messing with me 😞

Dreamingof3 · 02/07/2022 19:59

@WingingIt09 so frustrating!

I think today is ovulation day and we're done for this month so probably see af in 13 days time 😒

LucyLoopyLu · 02/07/2022 21:06

@LaVitesse2022 oh god I know exactly what you mean; I also love my alone time and I am obsessed with my sleep so that is a worry. I really don't function well on less than 8 hours sleep 🤣 but I would rather still have a family

Reassuring to know there are other people the same age as me trying for their first. A lot of people have told me there are loads of people in their 30s having babies and not to worry at all but these people all seem to already have kids 🤣

@Dreamingof3 I don't like some other children either! Haha. I definitely think it's important to make time for yourself. How do you organise your time with OH? Do you do regular date nights and get a babysitter?

@heretochill cycle buddy! I have 3 expensive clear blue tests in the cupboard but they cost so much money I don't think I will test early. But my resolve might weaken! I am going to try and get to 13 or 14 dpo and might also get cheapy tests instead. 🤔

Hi @HeathenPlayingHouse thanks for the update! Good news about the diabetes and metformin. Fingers crossed it makes the difference for you 🤞 how long does it usually take for that to help?
@DesertSnow I know what you mean about wanting 3 but I'm not sure I would want a 3rd! I guess we will see (hopefully)

@OCM19 congratulations 🎊 🥳

@WingingIt09 sending you lots of luck - hope you get your BFP or at least AF turns up soon 😟

HippeePrincess · 02/07/2022 21:23

Proper congrats @OCM19 when do you think you’re due? Sorry if you already said!

@WingingIt09 so frustrating, my cycles were awful when I ttc no 1, sometimes it feels like they know somethings up and just decide to piss about for fun.

We went for an early private scan today, 9 weeks and due 4th Feb according to measurements. Saw a very strong regular heartbeat and all positive things from the ultrasound technician.

I’ve attached a picture of the grainy blob!

Dreamingof3 · 02/07/2022 21:32

@HippeePrincess ahh 😍

LucyLoopyLu · 02/07/2022 22:35

@HippeePrincess oh that's lovely! Must be so nice to have that weight off your mind.
I've never thought about having a private scan - do you think it was worth the money? Can they tell you everything the NHS do?

Nypie · 03/07/2022 06:12

@WingingIt09 Winging it biscoff pancakes?? Why have I never tried that sounds amazing.

@DesertSnow I feel the exact same way but I dont think theres much rhyme or reason to any of it...even we started trying now doesnt mean were that much more likely to get pregnant. I've made my peace that it will take 6 months and I'm using the excuse of how lovely it will be to find out/ tell my mum on mothers day to keep me going! My fiance also wants 2 I'm thinking 3...2 girls and a boy but I'd be happy with 3 girls. Last week my partner turned to me and said we'll be having as many kids as you want...almost fell down.

Didnt even think about all the great food and drink I'll be able to have in December!

@OCM19 Yaaay it's happening. Congratulations!!!!!!

🤞🤞🤞 for everyone with symptoms and 💐💐💐 for all those who have stared their periods

Does anyone have PMDD? I've been really suffering with very low moods the week before my periods and just started to feel quite down now only 2 days after ovulation it really sucks.

lj2022 · 03/07/2022 06:51

Morning everyone, I've made it to 10dpo for the first time with no spotting or bleeding by 9dpo so I'm over the moon with that however this is now turning into the longest TWW I've had to deal with. Still a BFP this morning but reminding myself it's still early so keeping my 🤞 how's everyone else doing ?

Dreamingof3 · 03/07/2022 09:01

This is my chart so far....I think I'm doing bbt wrong 🤣 or maybe ove not ovulated at all this month?

lj2022 · 03/07/2022 09:39

Just realised I said BFP in my previous when I meant BFN😂🤦🏻‍♀️

HippeePrincess · 03/07/2022 09:41

@LucyLoopyLu theres things they can’t see yet as so much more happens in the next 3 weeks including baby doubling in size. She showed and explained the limb buds and the remains of the yolk sac and explained to dp that’s where nutrients come from. She did a trace of the heartbeat and said the regularity and speed was a good sign. The amount size and shape of the amniotic fluid and the clarity of the edges was also healthy looking.
she’s a tech at the mat unit in the week this is her side hustle. It was £50 and well worth it as we’ve now felt comfortable telling some family and friends as I’ve had to tell some at work so I’ll tell other people at work who need to know now.

lj2022 · 03/07/2022 09:42

@Dreamingof3 how long are your usual cycles ? Are you using OPKs as well? So many things can effect BBT but persevere incase you maybe ovulate late

WingingIt09 · 03/07/2022 10:11

@Nypie it's a pinch of nom recipe! Very yummy!

@Dreamingof3 mine is usually quite rocky... this was mine this cycle. Its rocky as I find it impossible to take it at the same time every morning thanks to the kids. I still find it enough to show a clear ovulation though.

AF has finally reared her ugly head this morning, 2 days late, giving me a 13 day luteal phase instead of my usual 11. I suppose the longer LP is a good thing if it stays that way as maybe the short one is contributing to the number of MC I have had? Will have to see what happens next cycle.

@lj2022 they're a bit all over still after coming off the pill, was about 50 days at the start of the year but then last month went to 30 which is normal for me pre contraception.

@WingingIt09 that's what i struggle with too, I just have to do it when I wake up and sometimes that's at 5 when my oh gets up for work...so I'm not sure its accurate. But I also thought that it can be a while after peak can't it, so maybe if it goes up tomorrow then today is ovulation day? 🤷‍♀️ confused 🤣

WingingIt09 · 03/07/2022 10:43

Yes @Dreamingof3 I just do it when I first wake up, sometimes that's at 4:30 when one of the kids wake so I do it before getting out of bed to the, and other times it's at 6:30 🙈🙈 makes for very rocky temperatures!

OP posts:
Dreamingof3 · 03/07/2022 10:50

@WingingIt09 annoying really isn't it! I think I'll see what it does in the next couple of days...might have to get the opks back out 🤦‍♀️
