Hi. Just looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

Im 34 and have 3 children already. My youngest is just over 2 and when I had him via c section, I got sterilised. I was told there’s still a 1/200 chance of falling pregnant. Ive never had any problems since. But a week and a half ago, my period came early. Was only meant to start now and it lasted only 3 days. (Had this with all 3 of my children as implantation bleeding) I’ve had other symptoms too. So for my peace of mind, as pregnancy after sterilisation can increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy, I took a first response pregnancy test. And it was a faint positive. Faint, but noticeable. I would attach a photo but I’ve since deleted them. 48 hours later I took a second and the same thing. So I phoned the doctor and was asked in for bloods the very next day. Since then I took a few more tests as hubby was unbelieving and they were all negative. Same brand too. And my bloods came back today negative.

i don’t know what’s going on really because I would have bet my house on it that I was pregnant. My stomach is so bloated too even tho I’ve lost a few pounds and I have weird pains and flutters as if theirs something going on in there. I have read about the hook effect but I highly doubt it’s that as hcg levels wouldn’t go from a faint line to extremely high within 24 hours. And I don’t think I’m imagining it as I was happy with 3 children. It’s not like I’m ttc and over analysing every small thing in the hopes their wrong. I just have a gut feeling somethings not right and as it could be a higher risk for me I wouldn’t want to brush it off for it to turn out to be something more.

has anybody else had wrong results, and then turned out to be pregnant or am I loopers. Many thanks in advance for any responses xx

A blood test is way more sensitive and accurate than a regular store-bought test that needs urine. If it was negative, I am afraid but I think you will have to believe it. I had an ectopic last summer, and I tested positive - a little late, but it was a clear positive. That being said, of course it is possible that your gut feeling is right. But if your pregnancy is so far that you get symptoms, you would test positive. Maybe you can get your hormones tested?

Yeah i get what you mean. And I’m not hoping it’s wrong by any means, just concerned because of the risks. I’m just going to keep an eye everything is back to normal next month and if not I’ll maybe check again.
