Hi all,

I had an ERPC after an MMC 11 days ago. I've still got a faint positive preg test (blue test in photo) and also I've tested with FMU and have a blazing positive on an OPK. Could i already be ovulating, or is this just leftover HCG messing up the tests? I have a feeling my hormones might just be all over the place!

Thankyou

First of all, I am really sorry for what has happened to you. I hope you are alright!
As far as I know, it is not possible to ovulate while your body is producing hcg. On the other hand, lh tests can pick up hcg - so that might be the case?

Edit: I just read it is possible, but not very likely. I would just continue to test and wait for a hopefully second surge.

OPKs pick up HCG. The opk is most likely showing the minute levels of HCG still in your body

Thank you both, looks like I'm going to have to be a bit more patient and wait until all the HCG is out of my system 😥

@Bobduncan how did you get on? I am 10 days post miscarriage and I'm in the same situation... vvvvf PT but strong LH test x

Bobduncan · 21/07/2022 16:32

Hey @sunflower25049 so sorry to hear about your mc ❤️ my ovulation test was positive because of pregnancy hormones still in my system unfortunately. I ended up getting AF 4 weeks after the ERPC and ovulating 2 weeks after AF. I'm now 5 weeks pregnant again, so hopefully all will work out this time. If you have a vvvvv faint positive on preg test, I reckon you'll soon get AF and you can try again if you feel ready 💙

@Bobduncan I missed your reply... I'm so sorry! How are you doing? I'm currently 39+1 with our little baby girl 💕
