Spotting 4/5dpo

Hi all, I have a 28 day cycle and I ovulate day 14/15 ish. Yesterday at either 4 or 5dpo I had a very light bleed when I wiped, light red/pink which turned brown later and now gone. Don't ever get spotting this early, sometimes do around 12 dpo until AF arrives. Surely this would be too early for implantation? Has anyone had IB this early?

Hi! Do you track your ovulation at all? Could it be that you ovulated a lot earlier or later than you thought?

I do opks and go off those, I don't temp because I get obsessed 😂 but because I allow up to 48 hours after opk that's why I'm saying it was either 4 or 5 dpo

That makes totally sense :) But it is too early for implantation bleeding, so it could be ovulation spotting. Not common, but also not uncommon. It can happen when the egg bursts throgh the follicle, which can result in a little bleeding, and shows up as spotting. Or, because of the estrogen rise, the uterus sheds a bit of lining,w hic also can show up in the form of spotting.
