Positive ovulation test, negative pregnancy test help!

Hi people, I'm new here so I hope I've posted this in the right place.

I'm hoping people can help me! Me and my partner have been ttc for 6 months I have been using the CB digital monitor I had high fertility "the flashing smiley" from 5th may until thr 10th my partner went away for work on the 11th so I stopped testing.

I had very light spotting on the 17th which lasted 3 days I had this with my two other children.

I'm now 2 days late for my period I've taken pregnancy tests and have been negative, however I decided to just take an ovulation test out of curiosity and it came up with a solid smiley. I also have strip ovulation tests and they have come back darker than I've ever seen them before. What could this be? I'm so confused.

You can have an LH surge before your period

Were you using clearblue dual hormone or just the single one?

It's the dual one. I did have an empty circle 3 days before if that means anything.

Is it possible your body tried to ovulate but failed, so is trying to ovulate now.

I'm unsure I've always ovulated around the same time each month according to the tests, I track everything haha. Its the spotting I've had that confused me as I have only ever had that when pregnant with my other children. Also never had a line as dark on the ovulation strips as I have now even when ovulating.

You get a strong LH surge before your period OR you're ovulating late. Even if you never have before, some cycles are wonky.

I know you are probably hoping it means pregnancy, but if HCG is making an LH test positive, it would also make a pregnancy test positive.

That's what I thought! I guess I'll have to hope for next time.

Congratulations!! Has it taken this long for a positive pregnancy test? Might be worth others avoiding whichever brand you've been using in future...

I had my first positive today over two weeks late! I used every brand out there so I don't think it was the brand I was using but more my body being a nightmare! I'm booked in for bloods next week!

It's more likely you are newly pregnant and you ovulated late - around the time your period would usually come.

Impossible as my partners been working away since the 11th! So I can only have conceived around then!

Congratulations!!! I hope that the same will happen to me as I am experiencing the same thing. I had unprotected sex on the 3rd of June and experienced implantation bleeding between 13 and 17. Since 19 of June I have constant positive opk but negative hpt. It was late ovulation and I only hope will stick and get my bfp eventually.
Does anyone else experienced the same thing, having late ovulation and late positive results?
