Hi, first post...
I had a miscarriage in January, surgery in Feb now trying again, I've had a few symptoms that are making me think I could be pregnant do I wait until I'm due my period (Tuesday 31st) or do I do an early pregnancy test 5 days early???
What are your thoughts please x

Hi! Similar situation here, had a miscarriage in Feb, was missed, but had surgery end of Feb. Periods have some back and have had 2 “normal” periods now. Have been trying since after the first period, so this is the 2nd month. Period due on Weds.
I think regarding the testing is a completely personal thing, last month I started testing about 4 days before period was due. I think it depends on how you are as a person as to how it would make you feel. On the plus side, I kept thinking “well it is early, maybe it’s wrong”. On the other side I just prolonged the horrible feeling of seeing negatives. The weird thing is I completely talked myself into believing I was pregnant, pulling twinges when I got up from sitting etc. I’ve only EVER had that when being pregnant and I had them, so it’s quite cruel what your body does to you! I am just going to try and wait til period is due, if it comes then I know, if it doesn’t then I’ll test. Have nothing to suggest I might be this month. Sorry I’ve rambled. Just to say there is no right or wrong, TTC is such a ride and everyone deals with things differently. Test when you feel you want to test, do what feels right for you. Just weigh up how you might feel with the outcome of early testing. Good luck xx

I found this website really helpful when I was trying to decide if I should test or not:

Thank you for your replies, I ended up testing this morning, not pregnant I don't think I'll do it early again will wait until the missed period.
Was the first time of being pregnant last time and it happened so quickly had only been off the pill a couple of months, trying not to put pressure on ourselves but that is hard too.
Good luck to you too xx

Fingers crossed for you keep us posted, it's aweful testing early and getting the negative. Keep positive! Have you any symptoms? And so sorry to hear of your loss. X

Hi, first time posting!

I am 9DPO and having some symptoms. Heavy, tingly breasts, bigger appetite (my appetite is generally shocking) very light cramping, more of a tight pulling, needing a wee very often and have been randomly crying today.
my average cycle looks to be around 40 days. (Have only had 3 regular recently) with a positive ovulation around day 24/25 of the cycle. I have then gone on to bleed from between 10/12DPO. However this time, I’m not feeling anything I usually would when I’m due my period. Should I test tomorrow? Which would be 10DPO!
I have a daughter who is 3 years old and I didn’t know I was pregnant with her as I had come off my pill 5 months previous and never bled. Doc said I spontaneously ovulated so my body and cycles aren’t hugely reliable!

Thank you for any replies. X

Oh bless you @soapie19 ❤️ It’s so disheartening. I think that’s why this month I’ve tried to hold off. Last month I felt riddled with symptoms and just had days of negatives leading up to my period. So each day was a new sadness. Where as if I don’t test early, I’m in that “might be” phase until period shows up, as much as it’s still the same outcome and still so disappointing, somehow to me it’s not as dragged out! I know everyone is different though, no right or wrong. I had to send DP to COOP earlier so I didn’t go and “accidentally” pick up a test! X
